Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Saturated Canary's "Honey"

Hello and Happy Tuesday to all!  Hope your week has been fantastic so far!  We have a new challenge for this week and it is "Hair of a Different Color"!!!  Use an unusual hair color like teal, pink, purple, green, blue....you know what we mean! :)

Our fabulous sponsor for this week's challenge is  Saturated Canary!!!

Here is my card...

This card features "Honey" from Saturated Canary. I just love this image and was so excited to use her for this challenge.  She is just so adorable and I love her pretty outfit and the cute bunny next to her!  I first stamped her using my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored  her up using my Copic sketch markers.  For her special pink hair, I used the markers from the Marker Color Fusion Trio 2 which blended so nicely! I also added some stickles in "Diamond" to bottom of her skirt, the heart on her t-shirt and also her eye lids to give her some extra sparkle! The papers I used for this card are by Bo Bunny called Vicki B!  Such fun vibrant colors in this collection.  I layered several of the papers on top of each other and edged them all with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar.  The doily peeking out to the side is an MFT Die-Namics called Dizzy Doily. Love doily dies and my collection is rapidly growing!  The pretty pink rose and tangerine cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I also added some pink rhinestones and some white venetian trim on the bottom to further embellish my card.  The sentiment "Cheers to You" is from a TGF stamp set called "Beatrice Blush".  This is going out as a birthday card to a friend so I thought the sentiment went well.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.  I'd love to see your awesome projects!

Is everyone having a great weekend so far?  It's finally been a relaxing Saturday for me.  With no big events going on and out of town family leaving earlier this week, it's been nice and calm.  However, I know it's the "calm before the storm" with school starting in a few weeks and back to hectic schedules! Yikes!!! LOL  I still have Back to School shopping to do, soccer and baseball practices starting up again and holidays here before we know it!!!  Okay, I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself but  just sayin'! LOL Well as long as I get some time for crafting which is my #1 stress reliever these days, I'm good to go! :)  Anyways, this week I did something a little different for your Sunday inspriation.  I decided to make an 8x8 scrapbook layout and here it is...

I actually started a mini album of my son, Ryan's,  Jr. Lifeguard program last year.  He's already completed his session this year but of course I'm still playing catch up!  So I had a few extra random pictures and decided to make a scrapbook layout which I have not done in soooooooo long!  It totally reminded me of how I miss making layouts and capturing those special memories.  I do have Project Life to get started on but I think I will still continue to make layouts from time to time.
So the star of my project is of course my handsome son, Ryan! :)  But the other star is this adorable image from The Greeting Farm called "Surfer Ian".   After stamping cute Ian up with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo, I colored him up with my Copic Sketch markers.  The fun papers I used for this layout are from Fancy Pants called "Wave Searcher".  It is such a fun beach collection and as you can see I also cut out some of the images from the papers such as the Tiki Statues, the banner, the beach sign, journal card and the wave peeking out behind the pictures. I edged all of the papers including the cutouts in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Broken China.  I wanted to add some additional embellishments so I used some La La Land Die cuts in the Wave Border and the Sun from the Sun, Cloud Island set.  I also added some shell and starfish Jolee's Boutique dimensional stickers throughout the layout.  I added some twine and button on the top corner as a hanger for the small banner.

Please be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find crafting supplies used on this project.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see what the rest of the design team made and to also have a chance to win some vouchers from the store.

I'm entering this into the TGF FFF-Anything Goes Challenge

Hope you all like my inspiration project and thanks so much for stopping by!
Your next stop on the hop is Ivonne!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Prima's Doll with Ruffle Dress

Happy Tuesday Blogger Friends!  Hope you're all having a fabulous start to your week!  It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge and this week is the favorite "Anything Goes"!!!

Our fabulous sponsor for this week's challenge is  Shape EZ!!!

Here is my project...

Okay so Laura just got these Prima Doll stamps in the store recently and I was sooooo excited to finally create using one!!! I decided to make a tag and I started out using the Mixed Media Doll Tag Pad which is the perfect size for these beautiful doll stamps. I edged my tag using Black Soot Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  To add to the background, I took some pretty Prima Marketing paper in the Annalee  collection called "Poetry" and distressed the edges using my Tim Holtz distress tool. I decided to add a little bit of mixed media art in there so I added some gesso to the edges. I also added some medium sculpting paste over my Crafter's Workshop chicken wire stencil and then sprayed over it using my Tattered Angels glimmer mist in "Cherub Pink".  Not sure if you can see it too well but I thought it gave a pretty cool effect!  Now for the doll herself, I used Prima's Doll with Ruffle Dress and she was so much fun to work with.  I first stamped her using my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored up her hair and skin using my Copic sketch markers. I paper pieced her cute dress and headband  with the same designer papers using the back side which was a little darker than the front.  I added some white flower pearl trim to the middle of her dress and then some Maya Road pink flower trim to her top ruffle.  I also added one piece of the flower trim to her headband which I thought looked really cute.  The "Wish" sentiment is also from a Prima Stamp set.  The beautiful flowers and butterfly are a combination of Prima and Kaiser Craft.  For the top, I added an extra large eyelet and ran some rose toned fibers to accent my tag. To finish it off, I added a cute butterfly charm attached to the top using a vintage garment pin. I'm excited with the way my tag came out and really love these dolls!

Hope you all like my very first Prima Doll tag! I'm now hooked and can't wait to make more!!!  Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

Hope you are all having a great weekend! We've had family in town since my son, Ethan's birthday last weekend.  It's been a little hectic trying to host out of town guests but things are finally starting to settle down and we are getting back to our normal routine.  I can't believe August is here and I'm hoping my favorite season of the year, which is Summer,  won't pass too fast!  I'm a little behind on my crafting this week but I did have a chance to create a card for this Sunday Blog Hop!

Here is my card...

I couldn't wait to play with this new stamp I got recently at the store.  This adorable image is from The Greeting Farm and is called "Cheshire Bean" from the Limited Edition Alice in Wonderland Bean Collection.  Currently, TGF is not carrying this stamp but you are in luck because Laura has this image and others from the same collection in her store! So grab them while you can because they will be gone soon!  So After stamping this cutie up with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo, I colored her up with my Copic Sketch markers.   I thought this image would look perfect in a Halloween card so I decided to do a "Halloween in August" theme and I had so much fun!  The papers I used are from an old K & Company Kelly Panacci collection.  This collection is Halloween themed and was perfect for my card.  I edged all of my papers in Black Soot and laid this cute kitty girl on some layered Spellbinders called Star Circles.  The pretty flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts which I sprayed up with my Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" to give them some pretty sparkle.  I finished off my card using some black bling from Recollections.

Please be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find crafting supplies used on this project.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see what the rest of the design team made and to also have a chance to win some vouchers from the store.

I'm entering this card in the TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge-Gettin Wiggy with It

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by!
