TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Summer Lovin'

 

Hello Friends!!!  Happy TGIF and I'm excited to be hosting a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge this week over on The Greeting Farm Blog!  For this week's theme, I wanted to spotlight my favorite season of the year..."Summer Lovin'"!!!

Here is my card for some inspiration...

My creation features the adorable Surfer Anya because isn't she just so perfect for Summer?!!:)   I colored her up with my copics and also added some stickles in "Stardust" for some extra sparkle.   I also had some fun using my new Koi watercolor paint set for the background.  I am seeing so many watercoloring techniques lately and now I want to try them all!!! :)   I really enjoyed doing some fun painting as well as coloring up cute Anya.  The "Hello" sentiment comes from the TGF "Delicate Words Die" and I also had to add a few sequins which is one of my fav embellies these days.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Fun with Your Name Steampunk Style!

Hello Friends!  We have a great challenge for you over at Loves Rubberstamps today!  This challenge you get to have Fun With Your Name! Take the Letters of your First Name and come up with an item to use on your project that starts with each letter

I had so much fun with this challenge and after figuring out I was going to use one of my favorite La La Land Craft "Marci" images,  Top Hat Steampunk Marci for the "M" in my name, the rest came pretty easy to me!  Of course I had to use the fun Steampunk Corner Dies and the Stitched Tabs Die Set of 3 for my sentiment.  Both of these also are also from LLLC.  The papers I used are called "Yours Truly" by  Glitz Design.  Gorgeous papers in this collection and I thought it went well with my theme.  I also edged everything in my Pumice Stone Tim Holtz Distress Ink to give it that grungy steampunk look! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: You're Wildly Amazing Tag

Hello Friends!  I have some Saturday inspiration today!!!  Here is something I made to share with you all...

So this week is actually Teacher's Appreciation week for two of my kids and there were lots of school events going on.  I wanted to make a fun tag for my son, Noah's teacher to add to her teacher's present!  This cutie is from the new Wild Child stamp set by The Greeting Farm!  This is my favorite set from the new TGF May release and I was so excited to see it in the Loves Rubberstamps store as a new release item! :)   I colored this adorable image (one of 2 cuties in the stamp set) with my Copic Markers.  Now I probably wouldn't have picked this color for her hoodie, but this teacher loves lime green! :)   I actually love the bright colors on this tag!  I used an asian inspired theme by stamping some bamboo in the background and then also adding a charm which says "Trust" on one side and has the words in chinese on the flip side.   I also added some pretty cherry blossoms and a small lime colored rose from Wild Orchid Craft flowers, some Prima pearls and some ribbon from my stash.   The fun tag I used as a base is actually from the new Prima mixed media doll tag pad Handcock Park.  I just cut it down a bit to fit on the gift bag.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Let's Jam!

 

Happy TGIF Friends!!!  Today we have a fun Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over at The Greeting Farm.  The theme is Use a Stencil!!!

Here is my card...

I was so excited about this challenge because I have been on a roll watching You Tube vids with techniques on backgrounds and many of them use stencils!   I've always loved to use stencils on my mixed media art projects so I'm happy to take them out for my cards too now!   The stencil I used is a Tim Holz one called "Bubbles" which I sponged onto the card with some distress inks in Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers.   Of course, I couldn't wait to include my favorite new Guitar Ian as well! :)    I die cut out a circle from the card for him to sit on and then added the sentiment "Let's Jam" which is from the TGF original Creeper Crew kit.  Finally, I added some enamel dots from Recollections to finish off my card with a bit of twine.   Hope all you all like my card and join in with your stencils! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: You are Beautiful!

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!  Today, our fun challenge is The 3 G's - GIRLY, GLITTERY & GLAM (embellishments).

Here is my card for you ...

For my card, I used the adorable Cheeky Glamour from The Greeting Farm.   I was really excited to finally have a chance to take her out and create with this pretty girl!   I knew she was just perfect for this theme and to make a very "Girly" card! :)   I colored her up with my Copic Markers and added some stickles to the inside ruffle of her dress and her cute hand mirror.  The pretty papers I used for my card are called "Lovely" by Authentique.    I added some adhesive lace I picked up recently as well as some pretty Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some sequins.   The sentiment "You are Beautiful" comes from an MFT set called "Polka Dot Greetings".
