Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Birdie Brown's "Retro Girl 02"

Happy Tuesday Blogger Friends!  Hope you're all having a great week!  It's time for another Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge and this week a fun challenge...."Polka Dots"!!!

Here is my card...

I had so much fun creating with this adorable image by Birdie Brown called "Retro Girl 02"!  I have all 3 Retro girl digis and all of them are so cute!!! For this cute gal, I colored her up using my  Copic sketch markers except for her cute polka dot dress which I paper pieced.  The papers I used for her dress and for the layered "Lacey Oval"  Spellbinders behind her are called Beautiful Life by Echo Park. I edged my papers with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Victorian Velvet.  Not sure if you can see it but I also added some Ranger stickles in "Diamond" to her little purse, her earrings and shoes to add some more shimmer.  For the background, I used my cuttlebug embossing folder in "Polka Dots" for the background.  It was fun to break out with some embossing which I don't often do. The sentiment "Hello Friend" is from a stamp set I have in my stash and I stamped this onto some more DP with my memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I added some flowers and a cute bow I made from the last of some some light blue polka dot ribbon. I thought it was a cute touch for this theme! :)  Finally, I added some blue Kaiser Kraft rhinestones to the corners of my card.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge Featuring Retro Girl 1

Happy Tuesday Blogger Friends!  Hope Everyone is having a fantastic start to their weeks.  My week is already starting out a little crazy both at work and at home and there's more to come this week too! I just hope I can survive it! I'd better get myself some energy drinks to keep up! LOL  We've also had some pretty hot weather and I'm hoping there will be no more fires for us!  I am looking forward to the summer and especially going to the beach. I just love the beach and it is a perfect getaway from all the stresses in life. If I can't make it to the beach, another good getaway is hiding out in my craft room making projects!  Fortunately, I did have some time to do just that and wanted to share what I created with all of you for this challenge!

The theme for this week is "May Flowers".

And here is my card...

So I was really happy about having this challenge.  I love using flowers on all of my projects and so this was just perfect for me.  The image I used is the adorable "Retro Girl 1" by Birdie Brown.  There are 2 other "Retro Girls" and they are all so super cute!  I had fun coloring up this cute girl with my copic markers.  The design papers I used are from a collection called Cashmere Dame by Glitz!  This set of design papers are is so pretty.  Using the DP, I handmade a banner which  I stamped my sentiment "Smile" on  it with Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I  edged my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.   I have a doily you can barely see peeking out behind the flowers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I sprayed them up using my Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold to give them some shimmer. For my other embellishments, I  added some red rhinestones from Recollections, a brown nylon butterfly and a white pearl string from my stash.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge using Birdie Brown's Retro Girl 3

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend and that some of you might have had an extended one with the Presidents holiday on Monday.  Even with the extra day, it seems like the weekend always seems to go by way too fast!!!  I feel like I need an extra 12 hours a day to keep up with what I need to do! LOL  Anyways, on to the challenge....

So this week's challenge theme is "Lots of Layers"

Here is my card...

So the adorable image I used is a digi by Birdie Brown called Retro Girl 3!  I love this cute girl.  In fact,  I love all of their Retro Girls.  They are too cute!  I colored her up with my copic markers as well as the skyscraper window scene which is from a La La Land Crafts Super Hero stamp set I've had for some time. I thought it would be fun to add this next to my Retro Girl so she could have a nice view while sipping her coffee! :)   The paper collection I used for the card is one of my favorites from Glitz called Cashmere Dame! I absolutely love Glitz paper and I love this collection.  I layered different papers from this collection on the body of the card as well as the borders on the top and bottom.  I edged all the papers with my distress ink in Frayed Burlap.  Also, for additional layering, I layered some Prima flowers with some  cute small rose buds from I Am Roses to the middles of the flowers. I sprayed these up with my Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold.  Finally, I don't think you can see it too well on the card but I did add an extra layer of my Retro Girl's scarf on top of the original one to give it some added dimension.  I stamped my sentiment with Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and also added some cute Candi dots using the Toy Box Collection on all four corners of my card.
