Baby Elephant card

Hello Bloggers!  Hope everyone is starting out their weekends well!  I wanted to share a baby shower card I made for a friend.  It was a very simple card and I had a lot of fun pulling out my old sizzix die cuts which I hadn't used in so long! I found the cute baby elephant and thought it would look so cute for this card! :)  The paper collection I used for the background and the elephant is "Baby Girl" from K & Company.  I put some dimensional stickers behind the baby elephant and laid it on a spellbinders circle die cut.  The pink ruffled trim and the flat back white pearls layered on top of it are from Karla S001 on Etsy.  The flowers are from I am roses and the pink token which says "It's a Girl" is also from my stash.  I handmade the banner and stamped my sentiment from an MFT stamp set "Sentimental about babies".  I also added a little heart rhinestone on the elephant's eye.  I edged all the papers with Tim Holtz Distress ink in "Spun Sugar". Hope you all like my card!  Have a great rest of the weekend and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Sympathy card

Hello!  Since September started and kids are back to school, sports etc..., it has been non stop for me!  I haven't been able to craft as much as I would have liked.  However, I do have a lot of cards to make for September so you will be seeing more come! :)  Here is a quick card share with a sympathy card I made for a sick friend.  The paper collection I used is called "Melody" from Prima.  The birdcage and bird are from an MFT die cut.  I also used another MFT die for the sentiment which I stamped on from an Heros Stamp Collection.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I sprayed them with Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold".   The cute little white crochet flowers are from I am Roses. The white nylon butterfly is from KarlaS001 on Etsy.  The venise lace is from my stash and I layered some strips on top of each other.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! :)

Cowboy Luka card

Hello!  Hope everyone has started out with a great week!  I wanted to share a card I made for my son, Ethan's godmother who always does so much for him.  He just recently turned 3 and as always, she was there to help throw him such a special celebration.  So the image is "Cowboy Luka" from La La Land Crafts.  I love this image and instead of paper piecing which I often do, I decided to completely color him up with my copics.  It was a little challenging but I'm happy with the way it came out! The paper collection I used for the background as well as the layered spellbinders with stars is called "Sasparilla" from October Afternoon.  These are such fun "Western" papers!  The flowers are from I am roses.  The daisy in the middle started out white but I sprayed it up with Tattered Angels "Vanilla Breeze".  I tied some twine behind it as well as on the button in the center.  The sentiments are just from some random stamp collections I had in my stash.  I made some little banners  after I stamped on them.  I hope you like my card and thank so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful week! :)

I'm submitting this in the La La Land customer gallery.

Le Romantique Tag

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I'm breaking away from my usual copic coloring today! lol I wanted to share a handmade tag I made for a scrappy friend using the Le Romantique paper collection.  This is one of my favorite G45 paper collections and I received some more of these beautiful papers recently so I couldn't wait to use them!   The beautiful image is also from one of the papers in the collection.  I cut it out and then put some Tim Holtz distress clear crackle paint in "Rock Candy" on top of it.  I like the vintage effect it gave it!  The layered trims are from my stash and the beaded trims are from KarlaS001 on Etsy.  I punched out all the butterflies using my martha stewart punches and added some bling to a few of them.  The top right butterfly are 2 punches layered on top of each other and I added glossy accents on top of it to give it that epoxy look.  The flowers are a combination from I am Roses and Wild Orchid Crafts.  the chandelier gem charm was given by a friend and I hooked it on to the seam binding using a garment pin.  The seam binding started out plain white and I sprayed it up using Tattered Angels "Crushed seashells" and "Cherub Pink" to give it that peachy color.  The aluminum rose is from Canterbury Lanes on Etsy.  Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your sweet comments.  I'm so happy to share my projects as well as to get inspiration from all of yours!  Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Cheeky Beach and Cherry Pie cards

Hello! These are a couple of cards I made recently for some friends.  The first card uses the Greeting Farm Cheeky Beach.  I colored her up with my copics and laid her on some layered scalloped circle Spellbinder diecuts.  I used some beautiful blue trim from Sahafuha on Etsy.  The flowers are from recollections and the large flower are some I am Roses petals sprayed with Tattered Angels "Cranberry zing" to match the papers.  I added a ribbon buckle with the pearl in the middle.  The paper collection I used is called "Surf's Up" by Recollections.  The second card uses Cheeky Cherry Pie from the GF also.  She is laid on a Spellbinder scalloped oval diecut which is laid on a small french doily sprayed with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold.  The paper collection I used for this card is called "Farmhouse" by Crate Paper.  I loved the little cherry paper so I had to use it!  The flowers are a mixture of a rose and cherry blossoms from I am Roses.  I sprayed them with TA "Iridescent Gold".  I layered some trim and beads from stash.  The stamp "Domestic Goddess" is from an MFT stamp set and I stamped on a handmade banner.  I had a little bit of a challenge coloring blond hair but hopefully, I'll get better with practice!  Anyways, hope you all enjoy my cards! Have a great week!

Rolodex Beach Swap using Syren the Mermaid

Hi Bloggers! Sorry I've been neglecting my blog lately!  Work has been so crazy and between that and family events, I've hardly had any time to myself. :( I have been working on some projects little by little including this Rolodex Swap I wanted to share with you all!  The swap is a "Beach" theme and I although I had some different ideas, I decided to go with the Mermaid underwater theme.  For this, I pulled out my favorite mermaid "Syren" from the Greeting Farm.  I love this image so much! She definitely was a challenge when coloring hair for 12 cards but fortunately, I've used her so much that it wasn't too terrible.  I just had to pace myself! Lol  So I colored her up with my copic markers and then I add some Ice Stickles in "Diamond" to her tail to give it shimmer.  I also used my Glitter pen in teal for her eyelids.  The shell is an old sizzix diecut.  I cut it out on white card stock and then glimmer misted it with Tattered Angels "Crushed Shells" and "Cherub Pink".  Behind the shell, I wanted the background to have a coral effect and punched out some coral glitter paper with my Martha Stewart leaf punch.  I added a small white rosette from I am Roses.  The little dimensional crab on the shell is from a Jolee Sticker set. On the bottom, I added some fine glitter in white.  My intent was to make this look like sand but I think it was a little washed out by the background.  Still, I added it to all the cards and some pearl trim to border it.  I added a few white rhinestones to give it a "Bubble" effect. The paper collection I used was Recollections "Surf's Up".  The front is just plain blue but the back has cute little colorful fish.  I hope the participants who receive it will like it! :)  Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week! :)

Gorjuss "Fallen" card

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!  It's been really hard to craft lately with being out of town for family events and working so much these last few weeks!  So this morning, I was finally able to break out with one of my new gorjuss stamps.  I'm so addicted to these stamps!  This one is called "Fallen" and I really love this image!  I'm not a big "Purple" person but my last few projects have been purple and I'm liking this color more and more!  So the papers I used in the background are from an old collection "Market Street" by MME.  I colored up my image with my Copics.  I laid her on some layered Spellbinder die cuts in "Lacy Circles".  On the bottom, I layered some trim on top of each other.  The purple trim and shabby Chic purple flower are from Sahafuha on Etsy.  The white lace trim is from my stash and the beaded flower trim is from Karla S001 on Etsy.  The purple poppies and rose are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  My bling and the small purple daisies are from Recollections.  I hand made the banner and stamped the sentiment from a $1 Studio G stamp.  I hope you all enjoy my card and thanks for stopping by! Have a great week and 4th of July Holiday ahead! :) Marcy
