The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: A Water Color background with Miss Anya Summer!

Hello Friends! It's my Inspiration Day on the TGF blog and  I have a fun card to share!

Here it is...

So you may have noticed that I've been into backgrounds lately!   There are so many techniques out there using your distress inks, glimmers mists, stencils and embossing powders.   I even started water coloring more which is so much fun!   The inspiration for my background came from one of Jennifer McGuire's YT Videos.  If you haven't checked her out, you should because she is amazing!   I used a fun background stamp which I embossed and then added some distress inks and glimmer mist to give it a water color effect.   I just love how it came out and can't wait to make more!   Now, I just need to get myself more background stamps! :)   Oh and the beautiful girl on my card is the adorable Miss Anya Summer!  This was the first time I used this image from the set and she is just so cute!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: A CAS Card featuring Wendy's Bouquet!

Hello Friends!  I'm excited to share the theme which I picked for this week's challenge.  I hope you all like it....it is Clean and Simple (aka CAS)!   Less is more, right?! :)

Here is my card:

So making this CAS card was a lot of fun!  I think I'm getting more comfortable and better at making CAS cards.   I still love layering and adding tons of embellies at times, but I really like the CAS style which puts more focus on the image itself.   The sweet girl on my card is from a stamp called Wendy's Bouquet by Little Darlings (CandiBean collection).   I had a lot of fun coloring her up with my Copic Markers and also added some shimmer to her roses using my Wink of Stella in clear.  You can't really see it in the picture but they have really pretty shimmer!   The sentiment comes from the Polka Dot Greetings set by MFT.   To stay true to my theme, I kept my card very simple and finished it off with just some twine and some colorful rhinestones.

Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day: Birthday Card with Darlling Dragon Luka!

Hello, I have some Saturday Inspiration for you all! Hope you are all enjoying a nice relaxing weekend!

Here is my card share for today...

I made this card featuring the adorable Darling Dragon Luka for my nephew's 1st birthday!  I had originally thought to use this image for a Halloween card but realized cute Luka would be perfect on one year old birthday cards too! :)   I colored him up with my  Copic Markers in some bright fun colors.    The cool birthday papers I used are from Doodlebug Designs called "Hip Hip Hooray".   I love the colorful designs in this collection.   To finish off my card, I added some random enamel dots from My Mind's Eye and some twine.

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Stella with a Splash of Color!

 

Hello and Happy Friday all!   Gosh, it's been such a hectic week for me and I 'm so happy  the weekend is finally here!  So we have a fun new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge over on the TGF blog this week and the theme is Black and White with a splash of color!!!

Here is my card for some inspiration...

I really love this theme which is just so much fun!  I used a combo of my copic C's and W's to color up cute "Stella" who is a retired image.  She has always been one of my favorites from TGF and is just so adorable!  As you can see, my "splash of color" is red which was inspired by the heart on her dress. :)
