The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: We're the Perfect Blend!

Hello Friends and Happy Thursday to you!  Today is my day to share a little TGF inspiration for today!

I have a fun card I've created to share and here it is...

DSCF1481

So my inspiration for this friendship card is actually being with my Bestie and our love of coffee!    We definitely both enjoy a  delicious cup of hot java but even more so, we love being able to meet up to enjoy our coffee time together!  So I knew immediately that Latte Anya and Frappi Anya were so perfect for my card!    I had fun doing a lot of coloring with my copics.  I also added lots of Wink of Stella for shimmer which unfortunately  you can't really see but these gals definitely sparkle!  I really love these images together  and wanted to focus in on  the two Anyas by making this a Clean and Simple (CAS) card!  Both images are so different just like many friendships but still, they do make the perfect blend, right?!!! :)

Here's a silly pic of my Bestie and I after a Starbuck's run!

I hope you all enjoyed my card and that this gives you some inspiration!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: A Snapshot of Summer with Twirl Anya!

Hello Friends!  I have a fun Summer card to share on the TGF Blog today!

Here it is...

DSCF0634
So this Summer is flying by way too fast and I'm trying to hold on to what's left of my favorite season of the year!   I wanted to make a Summer themed card to share and this adorable Twirl Anya was calling my name! :)   In fact, you may have seen Chitra's beautiful card using this cute gal just recently too!   I colored sweet Anya up with my copics and then thought it would be cute to frame her in a picture since that is what I want to do with all of my Summer memories!  I popped up the pinwheel she's holding to give it more dimension and then added my Wink of Stella for some shimmer.  The sentiment "My Sunshine" is from the new My Sunshine set which I thought went perfect with my theme.

I hope you are all enjoying your Summer and that this card gives you some fun inspiration.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: A Water Color background with Miss Anya Summer!

If you're looking for my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge card, go here!

Hello Friends! It's my Inspiration Day on the TGF blog and  I have a fun card to share!

Here it is...

So you may have noticed that I've been into backgrounds lately!   There are so many techniques out there using your distress inks, glimmers mists, stencils and embossing powders.   I even started water coloring more which is so much fun!   The inspiration for my background came from one of Jennifer McGuire's YT Videos.  If you haven't checked her out, you should because she is amazing!   I used a fun background stamp which I embossed and then added some distress inks and glimmer mist to give it a water color effect.   I just love how it came out and can't wait to make more!   Now, I just need to get myself more background stamps! :)   Oh and the beautiful girl on my card is the adorable Miss Anya Summer!  This was the first time I used this image from the set and she is just so cute!

I hope this card gives you some inspiration to try some new background techniques on your cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Marcy

The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: I've Flipped for You!

If you're looking for my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge post, please go here!

Hello Friends! It's my day of Inspiration over on the Farm Blog over at TGF!
Here is my card...

So I know we're barely into Spring but for me, I wouldn't mind fast forwarding right into Summer! :)   Summer is actually my favorite season of the year because I love hanging out at the beach every chance I get!   So with Beach and Summer in my thoughts,  it was the perfect opportunity for me to get out Mermaid Anya who is an older image but still one of my favorites!  Being a collector of TGF stamps, I've been having so much fun taking out many of my oldies but goodies to create lately!   Mermaids and fairies are my favorites.    I had so much fun making this card and whipping out one of my embossed folders and playing with my distress inks.  I also added some branch die cuts turned into some sea weed which was a tip from a friend (Thank you Laura!), some flowers,  and I couldn't go without a few sprinkles of some sequins!  I found this fish charm sitting in my stash which I thought would be fun to add next to cute Anya!
So I hope this card gives you some inspiration to take out some of your older favorites stamps and play!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your week!

Marcy

The Greeting Farm File Folder cards and Tutorial!

If you're looking for my Loves Rubberstamps Challenge post, please click here!

Hello friends!  I can't believe how fast this year is flying and although Summer seems to be far away, I know it will be here before we know it.  With that being said, I thought it might be a good idea to get started on some more teacher cards since I have quite a few to make this year!

Here is my card...

I've been seeing a lot of these cute file folder cards everywhere and thought this would be so fun for my school theme! The image I had to use for my Teacher card is  Cheeky Lessons.  Isn't she too cute with the apple by her side and her spunky glasses?!!  Now for my actual file folder card, I made this using the popular We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.  If you want to watch a tutorial, just go to You Tube and type in "File Folder card".  There are several videos out there and believe me, I watched almost all of them! LOL  Really, it's so so easy to make one of these and can be used for so many different themes!  Just decorate it however you want and add embellishments.  I like adding my sentiment to the tab just like you would to label a file folder.  I also found some colored paper clips from my stash to add to my embellishments in addition to some ribbon and red rhinestones.  So much fun!!!

So on to my tutorial...Btw, please feel free to modify these instructions to fit your own personal style and just have fun! :)

Step 1: You will need your Envelope Punch Board, a paper trimmer and a piece of card stock.  For this one, I used some card stock measured at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches scored in half and folded in half.

Step 2: Trim off about 1/2 inch on the front side so that the card tabs will look layered.

Step 3: Take your punch board and line the left side of the front of your card with the opening of the actual punch. Punch.

Step 4: Move paper to the left so that it is lined up with the 3 inch mark on the punch board and punch again.

Step 5:  The front of your card should have 2 notches (Partial one on the very left and one in the middle.)  You're going to take your paper trimmer and line up the valley of the 2nd notch with the groove in your cutter and trim the rest of that piece off.

The front of your card should now look like this.

Step 6:  Reverse your card to the back side and repeat steps 3-5.

Step 7:  Using the punch board's other function, round out the corners of the right side of front and back (Non-notched sides).

Step 8: Take papers, embellishments and your favorite images to decorate and embellish your card!  My favorite is The Greeting Farm! :)

Voila!!! You now have some cute file folder cards for any occasion!!!

Here are a few more I made for fun!

Easter Anya (Retired)

I think once you start making some of these, you'll get addicted to them like I have!  Super fast and easy...give it a try! :)

I hope you all like my file folder cards and enjoyed my tutorial.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to comment on my personal blog which notifies me right away!  I'd also love to see any file folder cards or project you make!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Hugs,
Marcy

A Valentine's Day card with "Miss Anya Night Out"

Hello Friends!  I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Today is my Inspiration Day over at The Greeting Farm Blog!   I wanted to share a Valentine's Day card I made using my favorite gal from the Miss Anya Night Out" collection.

And here she is...

I featured this cutie during one of the special preview days but I couldn't resist having another chance to color her up again! :)  This time, I decided to make her a red head as I wanted to do a Valentine's Day theme with this special holiday coming up! :)  Isn't she just so sweet for a V-Day card?!!  I really love how this stamp set is so versatile for any type of occasion!  I colored her up with my copic markers and then added just a little of some "Star Dust" stickles on her dress and shoes for some added shimmer.   For the background, I used some beautiful papers called Lost and Found Heirloom which you can also find at the TGF store.  I also added a doily border which comes from a Martha Stewart punch I received in a RAK recently.  This is one of my favorite new toys! :)  The cute crochet flower is from my stash.   I hope you like my Valentine's  Day card and I hope you all have a fun Valentine's Day coming up!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

The Greeting Farm Tuesday Inspiration Day: A Happy Dance for Miss Anya Night Out!

Hello Friends!  Hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Today is my Inspiration post for The Greeting Farm Blog and  I wanted to share a card using one of the Anyas from the adorable "Miss Anya Night Out" collection.

And here she is...

I hadn't played with this image yet so I was so excited to create something with her.  I love her cute pose and she definitely looks like she's ready for a night out!  She also looks so cheery which is why I added the sentiment "Happy Dance"! :)  I thought Anya would look super cute in yellow and colored her up with my copics.  What do you think?!! :)  I kept my card pretty simple and didn't want to add too much layering to this already gorgeous paper called The Sweetest Thing "Honey" which you can also find at the TGF store.  Finally, I wanted to add some little touches of pink to accent the papers and also because pink is one of my favorite colors too! :)  I really love these three images from the "Miss Anya Night Out" set.  These gals are so fun and girlie and just perfect to create with for so many occasions!  I hope you enjoy my card for today and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy
