Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration Day: You are Beautiful!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!

Hope all of you enjoyed your week and that some of you may also be able to enjoy an extended holiday weekend for Martin Luther King.  I am off of work on Monday so I'm looking forward to getting some additional crafting time in!

So today's card features the adorable Saturated Canary image called "Nevaeh".   I just love all of the Saturated Canary images and my collection is slowly growing.  Not only are they adorable but most of these images have the prettiest hair which I love to practice coloring with!  Nevaeh is no different and I had so much fun coloring up her hair and everything else with my copics!  I also added some stickles in "Pink Taffeta" on the ruffle and parts of her dress to give her more shimmer.  I went with one of my new favorite color combos of purple and teal.  I don't have a lot of paper collections with purple so I was excited to find this DCWV pad at Michaels called "Violet Leaf".   I also took out my new Christmas toy called the "Bow it All" and made this fancy bow.   Loving this new tool as I am not great with bows! Lol  The sentiment "You are Beautiful" comes from an MFT set called "DC Polka Dot Greetings".   I thought it was perfect to use along side the Beautiful Nevaeh! :)  Finally,  I added some  flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and teal pearls from my stash.

Supplies Used:
Nevaeh-Saturated Canary
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Seedless Preserves-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Violet Leaf-DCWV
Flowers-Wild Orchid Crafts (Soon to come!)

Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see all of the beautiful Saturated Canary images. Laura is constantly getting new ones in the store!

You still have time to join in on the "Use Metal" Loves Rubberstamps Challenge and don't forget to join tomorrow's "Sensational Sunday" blog hop starting right here to win some fun prizes!

Hope you like my card and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy

Love is in the Air with "Sweetie Bean"!

Hello and Happy TGIF!!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful week! My week was pretty hectic so I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend for some relaxing time and hopefully some crafting time as well!  Well to start off this weekend, we have a fun Farm Fresh Friday Challenge for you all! This week's theme is "Love is in the Air".  Head on over to the The Greeting Farm Blog where you can find all of the details for this fun challenge!

And here's my card....

So who better for this theme than "Sweetie Bean" flying in the air with her garland of hearts!!!   This gal is really growing on me and I'm having so much fun creating with her!  I decided to do something a little different with this card by coloring Sweetie up in monotone colors.  I used my copic Ws (warm grays) and some touches of light pink.  I also added some tiny pearls to her heart garland and some pretty chiffon lace with pearls which I had in my stash.  I once again used this gorgeous collection of papers called Lost and Found "Heirloom" by My Mind's Eye which is also found at the TGF store.  Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to see the other "Love is in the Air" projects by my fellow DT gals.  Have a fantastic Friday and enjoy your weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Kenny K's "Sweet Melissa"

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!!

Is everyone enjoying their week so far?  The weekend flew by so fast!  We took our Christmas tree down finally and I had mixed feeling about that! Lol Although I would love the holiday fun to last a little longer, I'm also looking forward to the new year and getting back to routine schedules.  They are crazy schedules but at least something we are used to these days! :)

So onto our fun challenge...This week's challenge is to use something metal on your project!

Our fantastic sponsor for this week's challenge is Kenny K!!!

Here is my card...

This card features the adorable "Sweet Melissa" by Kenny K.   Isn't this image so pretty and she really does have a sweet expression, right?!! I colored up Melissa with my copic markers.  Her hair was a lot of fun with all the big curls!  The pretty paper collection is one of my new favorites called Love Note by Fancy Pants.  These papers are so pretty and perfect for Valentine's day!  I created the little ledge this sweet gal is sitting on by using  the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die by MFT.  Behind her is also MFT's Die-Namics Open Scallop Doily Die.   The ticket was punched out using the Ticket Die by Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Dies and the sentiment stamped on the ticket is from The Fun Life Tickets by Whimsy Stamps Sentiments Collection.  Wow, sounds like a lot of supplies or maybe just the long descriptions! Lol But I have to say that these supplies really made it so easy to put my card together and I'm happy with the way it turned out! Oh, and my metal piece is the heart you see there by the ticket! :)

Here are some additional supplies I used on my card:

Victorian Velvet-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento
Roses-Wild Orchid Crafts
Silver pearls-Melissa Francis
Metal Heart-We are Memory Keepers

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!

Hope you all like my  card!  Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

LOL  Well this sweet image definitely makes me smile and dream!  This is "Aloha" and comes from the Doodle Garden Collection from MFT.  Don't you see yourself right now on a sandy beach drinking a pina colada?! :)

I wanted to go colorful with this card and used a fun paper collection called "Summer Soul" by Fancy Pants. Perfect papers for my summer theme!  I colored up this cute Hawaiian gal with my copics. and then added some glitter to her flowers to give her more shimmer.  Behind her is one of my favorite new dies called Die-Namics Oval Dainty Doily Die by MFT.  MFT has such awesome dies and the store carries a bunch of them! I finished off my card with some pink polka dot ribbon I had in my stash, some flowers and some pink pearls.  The sentiment "have a sun-sational day" also comes with this fun stamp set.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: A sweet altered recipe book for a sweet friend featuring "Sugar n' Spice" Marci

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!

Hope everyone is having a great week!  This week starts the normal work and school week for our household.  Vacation is over and now I have my true test of the resolutions I made to be more organized and less stressed! LOL  Wish me luck!!!

So this week we have the favorite "Anything Goes"!!!

Our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge is The Cutting Cafe!

Here is my project...

So if you are wondering what this is, it is actually a recipe book I picked up on clearance at Michaels over a year ago!  A bestie of mine has started a cake pop business and I've been wanting to make her something special to use for her new venture! I already liked the colors on the cover of the book itself so I just altered it a bit using the same color combo and added cute "Sugar n' Spice Marci" by La La Land Crafts.  I colored up Marci with my Copic markers and added some glitter to her cupcake. I also added my new favorite  Die-Namics Open Scallop Doily Die by MFT behind her.  The paper collection I used is called "Handmade with Love" by  Carta Bella.  Such a fun collection to use for this theme! I actually used stickers for the name of her business and punched them out using a circle punch.  My embellishments include some Prima flowers, teal shabby chic trim and lots of bling! :)

Here's an up close look at Marci...

Here's a view of the inside. I did switch out the original folders and added my own with the designer papers. I also added some personalized tabs which I thought would pertain more to her new business as well as some cute stickers from the collection...

Here are some other supplies used on my project:
Victorian Velvet-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento
Flowers//Bling-Prima Marketing

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!

Hope you all like my altered recipe book! I hope my friend also likes it as it will be part of her birthday present!  Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

Loves Rubberstamps "Inspiration Day" featuring "PI Little Shutterbug" by MFT

Hello Friends!  Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful and safe New Year's celebration with your family and friends.  Today is a very special day for me for a few reasons! First, it is special to me because it is my birthday and we have a fun family mini trip we are enjoying this weekend!  It's also special because this is my first Inspiration Day post for  Loves Rubberstamps!  I will be sharing weekly projects with  you each Saturday and I hope these will inspire you in the new Year 2014! :)

Here is my Inspiration card for you today....

As many of you know, this week's Loves Rubberstamps challenge was "New Year's Resolutions".  I wanted to continue that theme with a card that portrays one of my additonal goals for  2014.  I absolutely love taking pictures and have always wanted to build on my photography skills.  So this year, I plan to take some classes to do just that!  I'm so excited about this and hope it will show in my pictures! :) This card features the adorable PI Little Shutterbug by MFT.  She is so sweet and I had so much fun coloring her up with my copics and paper piecing her cute dress. The fun paper collection I used is called Here and Now by Echo Park.  I saw those colorful cameras and I couldn't resist using it in my backround.  The stitched layered circles behind this cute gal are from Lil' Inkers.  The fun sentiment "Have a Picture Perfect Day" also comes from this same stamp set.

Here are some additional supplies used on my card:
Victorian Velvet-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento
Gingham red ribbon and pearls from my stash

You can find most of these supplies at the Loves Rubberstamps store!
Hope you all enjoy my 1st Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)
