Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring MFT's PI "Spa Day"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! This week is our "Back to School Night" week and having 3 kids in 3 different schools this year is hectic when it comes to events like this! Fortunately, all "Back to School" nights are on different days of this week so even though we'll be spending many of our evenings at school, at least we are able visit all 3 and breath while we're doing it! LOL  For this, I am so I am thankful!  I'm still battling my colds but feeling better each day so hopefully I'll be back to my normal self by end of week.

So back to our Tuesday challenge....This week, our challenge is to "Use a Sentiment".  Pretty easy, right?! :)

Our wonderful sponsor is Meljen's Designs!!!

Here is my card  to share with all of you...

The card features a stamp set called "Spa Day" from the MFT Pure Innocence Collection I stamped up my image on white cardstock with my Black Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored her up with my copic sketch markers.  I'm not sure if you can tell on her robe but I used some "Swan" Flocking Powder by Martha Stewart.  I mean why not have a soft cozy robe for Spa Day, right?!! :) The designer papers I layered together are from a collection called Here and Now by Echo Park.  This is such a fun collection and new at the store. I edged all of my papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar. The pink cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the white acrylic leaf stems are from my friend, Karla. I used my Mono Multi Liquid Glue by Tombow to adhere my embellishments.  The pink pearls on the corners are from Recollections and the ribbon is also from own stash.  The sentiment "Take Time for You" also comes from the same stamp set.  I love these PI sets which always come with a handful of sentiments to use!

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly drawing for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher!  We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I have caught some colds from my youngest son, Ethan so trying to get some rest in and get ready for the coming week! I have tons to do but just trying to pace myself.  I did take some time out to craft a little and wanted to share a card with you all.

Here is my inspiration for this Sunday...

I decided to make a simple but fun birthday card for my cousin.  I'm not great with masculine cards so having these Ian images always make these "boy" cards a little easier! :) This card features "My Guy Ian" which is a really fun collection! I stamped Ian with my favorite Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored up this cute guy with my copic sketch markers. The paper collection I used is called "Oliver" which is part of the Lost and Found 3 collection by My Mind's Eye.  I have only a few pieces of papers left for this collection since I have used it so much on previous projects. Love these papers and need to get more!  I created a border on the bottom for Ian to stand on using MFT's Die-namics Notched Border Die and edged all of my papers in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans. Finally I added some Jean metal buttons from some Prima trinkets I recently bought.  I thought this was a perfect embellishment since my cousin is getting some designer jeans as his birthday gift! :) The sentiment "A Special Guy" also comes from this stamp set.  Speaking of jeans, check out our Loves Rubberstamps video designer, Indah's tutorial on creating texture on jeans.  I had already colored up my Ian image previously but definitely can't wait to try that technique out soon!

I'm entering this card in The Greeting Farm Retro Fresh Challenge-Autumn Colors
and The Greeting Farm-Tuesday Variety Challenge-Texture

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Crafter Companion's "Flora"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone is staying cool as it is another hot week over here!  I guess my wish came true when hoping that Summer would not end! LOL Hope some of you were able to enjoy the holiday weekend as well. It was so nice to have the extra day off. I feel like I'm still playing catch up after last week's back to school and getting adjusted to the crazy schedules again.  So on to our challenge....with the new month starting, this week is the favorite "Anything Goes"!!!

Our wonderful sponsor is The Cutting Cafe!!!

The Cutting Cafe

Here is my project for this week's challenge...

I was so proud of my project this week and I went a little crazy with the pictures but I'll save the rest for later!  Let me explain first! :)

So I decided to create an altered box which I plan to give to a friend.  This box started out as a plain wooden box from Michaels. Instead of painting the box as I usually do, I decided to stain it instead using my Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Peeled Paint. It was my first time using distress stains and it was a ton of fun despite my very stained fingers all weekend! LOL I also added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold all over the stained box to give is some nice shimmer.  You can't see in the pics but it looks really pretty! The star of my box is Flora and she is from the Toread Collection by Crafter's Companion.  I stamped her on some white cardstock with my Black Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored her up with my copic sketch markers.  I used some Ranger stickles in Fruit Punch to add some sparkle to her flower crown and parts of her dress. Once again, I pulled out some Graphic 45 papers I have in my hoard vault and this collection is called "Once Upon a Springtime".  This is one of my favorite collections as you all know I love fairies!  I'm so proud of myself for cutting into them even though I only used a few sheets! LOL  I lined the inside and the top with the papers and these were all edged with Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used some really pretty trim I received recently from  One Little Dreamer to line the bottom of the box. I also added some of my favorite flower pearl trim to frame the top.  The white nylon butterfly was also from my stash and the sentiment "Sweet" also comes with the cute Flora stamp set.  I plan to add a small present inside the box.  Hope she likes it! :)

And as promised, here are some additional pictures I took...

SSS Card featuring Sherri Baldy's "Raggedy Rosie"

Hello Friends!  I hope you are all having a cool weekend and that some of you get to enjoy the extra long one due to the Labor Day Holiday.  Today, I wanted to share a card I made for Scrapbook Stamp Society featuring artist, Sherri Baldy's "Raggedy Rosie".
Here it is...

She was so fun to color up and I just love her hair!  I started out with my favorite corrugated card base and then layered some designer papers on top of it.  The paper collection I used is one I recently purchased online called "Cambridge Court" which is a collection from Kate & Co by My Mind's Eye.  I distressed all of the papers with my Tim Holtz distress tool and then edged them all with my Tim Holtz Distress ink in Victorian Velvet.  I also added a small doily and the sentiment which is also from the paper collection. The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I sprayed them all up with my Tattered Angels glimmer mist to give them some nice shimmer.  I punched out a few leaves using my Martha Stewart leaf punch and then added some pink rhinestones from Kaiser Kraft.   I hope you all like my card. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Copic colors used:
Skin: E93, E00, E11
Hair: Y11, Y13, Y15
Clothes: RV55, RV52, RV00,  BG13, BG11, BG10

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday" Blog Hop featuring The Greeting Farm's "Queen Bean"

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!

Hope everyone's having a great holiday weekend and staying cool! It's been a scorcher out here so we are trying to spend some time at the beach and at the pool this very hot weekend!  I'm excited we have a nice long holiday as well!  Hopefully I can catch up on some chores and some crafting as well! :)

Here is my inspiration for this Sunday...

This card features the adorable "Queen Bean" which is from the limited edition Alice in Wonderland Bean Collection by The Greeting Farm. I really love this fun collection! I colored up this cute queen with my copic sketch markers and set her on some layered Spellbinders called Labels Twenty-Three.  So with this theme, I couldn't help but break down my "hoard vault" to pull out some G45 papers.  This is one of my favorite collections called "Halloween in Wonderland" which I thought went perfect with this Queen of Hearts!  I edged all of my papers in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans. On one of the layered papers to the left, I also added some hearts I stamped using the TGF Blush Heart set.   I used the smaller of the heart images and stamped them using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans and Fired Brick.  So much fun!  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed them up with my Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" and then also added some black leaves using the Olive Branch Cutters die by C.C. Designs.  Finally to further embellish my card, I added some pretty black teardrop trim and some black Recollections bling. The sentiment "Smile" is from my stash.

I'm entering this card in the TGF Garden Variety Tuesday Challenge-Layers

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring The Paper Nest Doll's "Sweetheart Ellie"

Hello! Hope you're all having a great Tuesday.  My week has been a busy one getting ready for school and all the events happening this week.  I hope I will last! LOL

Anyways, I am going to get right into our challenge for the week which is " Use your favorite Color Combo"!!!

Our fabulous sponsor for this week's challenge is Sweet 'N Sassy and The Paper Nest Dolls!

 and

Here is my card...

I had so much fun with this challenge and actually I have a lot of favorite combos.  However, one of my all time favorites are the combo of Pink and Black.  So I decided to go with that and feature a darling image by The Paper Nest Dolls called "Sweetheart Ellie".  Isn't she super cute?  After stamping my sweet image with Black Tuxedo I colored her with my copic markers.  I layed her down on some layered Spellbinders Beaded Circles.  The beautiful papers I used are called "Blush" by My Mind's Eye.  I love this paper collection and have a few pads of this.  I edged all of the papers with my TH distress ink in Victorian Velvet.  The yummy flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed them all up with my Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Iridescent Gold to give them some nice shimmer.  I also added  few leaves in black to further accent the flowers. These were cut from Olive Branch Cutters Die by C.C. Designs.  I glued these down using Mono Multi Liquid Glue  by Tombow.  Finally, I added some trims and pink rhinestones to finish it off.  The sentiment "Sweet" is from part of another stamp set I had at home.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.
