The Greeting Farm May Guest Designer post featuring "Garden Anya"

Hello Friends! Hope you all had a great weekend and that all of you moms out there had a very special Mother's Day. My Mother's day was wonderful spending great quality time with my family as well as with my own mom.  That is always special for me!

So here is my card share and my first posting as a May Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm!

I actually thought my card would be great for Mother's Day.  However, I decided to use it to give to a friend who has a birthday coming up really soon.  She loves gardening so I thought "Garden Anya" was perfect!  She is such a darling image and I had so much fun coloring her up with my copics and creating with her.  I had seen this flower pot template from my friend, Yvonne's blog just last week and I thought it was a great match!   As you can see from the 2nd picture, the tag inside actually tucks right into the flower pot adding the extra flowers. I thought this was a super cute idea.  Here is the Flower Pot tutorial in case you want to check it out! Behind Anya, I used the TGF Fence.  This is the first time I've used any of the TGF dies and I was so impressed! They are so easy to work with and are all great designs. The papers I used are from K& Company called Meadow.  This collection has beautiful flower papers.  I used used a Recollections decorative border punch on the bottom of my pot's rim.  All the papers were edged with Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  I added some red gingham ribbon to the top and tied the edge with some brown twin.  I also added a butterfly charm to further embellish.  Oh, and the flowers I used are from an MFT die called Prima Donna Petals! I had a lot of fun making these!

I also wanted to quickly share a mini project that's been in the works. This uses some coasters I picked up at Michael's several months ago for like 10 Cents a bundle!  Being a huge TGF fan, my stamp collection has been growing rapidly and I thought it would be fun to create a little mini album with some of my favorite images.  I had started this almost 6 months ago but I'm looking forward to creating a few more pages whenever I can.  These pages I'm sharing are pretty simple and most are oldies but goodies but they are still all my favorites!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Our Saturday was both happy and sad starting off with my son, Ryan doing awesome for his 1st 5K run and then ending with a family funeral for my husband's uncle.  For all you mothers out there, just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day!  Being the Queen Bee of my family, I am looking forward to a nice lunch my husband and boys are taking me to and possibly a movie.  We are also meeting up with my own mom so I know it will be a very special day! :)

So here's my card for my share today! 

I was so excited to finally be able to create with this stamp which I bought some time ago.  This is Little Daisy designed by artist Karen Middleton for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I absolutely love this image and loved her even more after coloring her up and seeing her come to life!  I framed my image using an older sizzix die.  I added some acrylic flowers which match my colorers on either side and a bright orange bow to further embellish. The paper collection I used is called Farmhouse  by Crate Paper.  This collection has such fun and cheerful papers!  I edged all of my papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.   The sentiment "Smile" is also from a stamp set in my stash.  I stamped the sentiment as well as my image with Memento Ink in Black Tuxedo. On the corners of my card are Candi dot embellishments from the Toy Box Collection.

I'm back on the Farm as a Guest Designer for May! :)

Hello Again!  I just wanted to announce that I've been invited to come back to Guest Design for The Greeting Farm for the month of May!  I'm really excited about this.  You all know I used TGF stamps as much as I possibly can on my projects. Loves Rubberstamps Challenge featuring The Cutting Cafe Cupcake template and PI Hello Cupcake

Hello and Happy Tuesday to you all! It's time for another fun challenge at Loves Rubberstamps.  This week's theme is the favorite "Anything Goes"!!! This mean you can create anything your heart desires! How fun and easy is that?!!:)

So this was super fun for me!  I used a the Cupcake template by the Cutting Cafe which I have used in a project before.  However, this time I used it as a card instead of as a background.  I just love how cute and small this cupcake card is! I used some pink glitter paper as the base and also for the cherry and sprinkles on the cupcake. My cupcake was made layering some design papers on top of each other.  The paper collection I used is called Lovely by Authentique.  These are such gorgeous papers and I have already used them on so many projects.  The cute image on my card is called Hello Cupcake from the Pure Innocence collection by MFT.  I just love this little PI gal and had so much fun coloring her up with my copic markers.  I paper pieced her dress with the design paper. I also added some sparkle with my pink Atyouspica glitter pen to the sprinkles on her little cupcake, her barette and shoe buckle.  I stamped my sentiment "Hello Cupcake" on  a handmade banner with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I  edged my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet and added a small pink bow as embellishment.  There wasn't a ton of space on my card so I held myself back from using any flowers or bling.  Boy was that hard! LOL  But actually, I'm really happy with the way it came out and hope you all like it too! :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! It's been hot and windy here the last few days and we've had some bad brush fires impacting us.  Fortunately, the fire has passed us but it was pretty scary  knowing that it was so close by.  The air quality has not been great due to the winds and all the ashes blowing in the air.  Our Baseball games have been cancelled and my kids were disappointed that they were stuck inside the classrooms at school as well last week.

However, this weekend seems better and hopefully things will go back to normal soon.  I heard it might actually rain this week sometime which would be good but talk about crazy weather!!! LOL
Anyways, I was able to get a card together for my friend's birthday and I wanted to share that for the blog hop!

And here is my card....

I wanted to use one of my new favorite stamps from The Greeting Farm and this one is called Anya Blooms!  You might have seen her on my blog in the beginning of March. I was so excited to be part of the TGF Guest Design Team to showcase the March release.  When I saw this image, I just really loved her and couldn't wait to use her on my cards and projects.  I had made a few cards and my friend also really loved this image.  So I decided to use Anya Blooms for my friend's birthday card!  I used her favorite colors green and orange which is not a combo I usually use but I had a lot of fun trying these colors out and making this card.  I colored up Anya using my copic sketch markers.  I paper pieced her dress and the collection I used for this as well as  the background is by My Mind's Eye called Reunion.  I edged all of my papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spiced Marmalade.  I placed Anya on some layered Spellbinders called Lacey Ovals.  The large orange daisy  was created using some plain white petals from I Am Roses.  I colored these up with my Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Apricot.  I added a white pearl center given to me in a RAK by a friend.  The green flowers are from Michael's dollar bin and the small flowers are from a Recollections flower jar I've had forever.  I was so glad to finally use these!  The bling is also from Recollections. The sentiment "Cheers to You" is from another TGF stamp set called Blush Beatrice.  I stamped this on a handmade banner using memento ink in Black Tuxedo.

SSS card using Sherri Baldy's Wee Fairy Img693 Besties

Hello!  Hope everyone is having a great week!  I'm so excited it's almost Friday! Yeah!!!! It was a pretty long day at work including a team dinner so I finally just got home and wanted to make sure to post my project share for Scrapbook Stamp Society. This adorable image is one of  artist Sherri Baldy's new images in the Wee Fairy collection Img693 Besties.   If you saw my last SSS project,  I featured another cute fairy from this same collection.  I am just hooked on these new fairy images.  I Love Fairies!!!! :) So for this card, I colored up this sweet image using my copic markers.  I added some baby blue pearls to embellish the band on her forehead and to give her a little more dimension.  I cut out my sweet fairy using my Spellbinder Standard Circles Large and also layered that on another Spellbinder called Beaded Circles. The paper collection I used is by My Mind's Eye called "Sunshine".  I love these yellow and cream toned papers.  I edged all of my papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I sprayed them all up with my Tattered Angels "Dazzling Diamonds" to give them lots of shimmer.  The sentiment is from my stash and the pretty blue rhinestone bling is from Recollections.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring "Playing in the Rain"

Happy Tuesday Blogger Friends!  Hope everyone is having a great week! I'm excited to announce that we have a new nephew in the family...Baby Nicco!  He was born over the weekend and is so very precious! We have yet to meet him in person but we are hoping to do that really soon!

So today is the Tuesday Loves Rubberstamps Challenge!!! The challenge this week is "April Showers"!

Here is my card...

I thought this Paper Nest Dolls image called "Playing in the Rain" was perfect for this week's challenge.  I had so much fun coloring up my image with my Copic Sketch Markers and I loved using so many colors!  The design paper I used is a collection called Fabulous by Simple Stories.  This collection is so pretty and I've used it on a lot of my recent cards.  I made a handmade banner  with the DP, which  I stamped my sentiment "Happy Day" on  it with Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I also used the Jumbo Scallop Die from MFT as borders. I  edged all my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  The large orange flower is from I Am Roses.  These petals were originally white and I sprayed them up with my Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Apricot and Tiger Lily.  I added a large brad in the center which I had in my stash.  The two small orange roses are from Recollections as well as the small rhinestone hearts on the side of my image.  The trim is from Frog Feathers on Etsy and the white trim layered on that is from Scrapbooking With Me on Zibbet.
