Geisha Anya for GFS Challenge

Happy TGIF everyone!!!  I wanted to share a card I entered in SCS for a Greeting Farm Stamp challenge.  This is the 1st time I've used "Geisha Anya" and I really love this image.  She is too cute!  We had to follow a card sketch for this challenge so hope they like it!  The paper collection I used is "Melody" by Prima. I also paper pieced Anya with this paper.  She is placed on a paper doily sprayed up with "Vanilla Breeze" by TA.  I also sprayed the 2 roses with the same color.  The large pink rose and the small one over the pink button was sprayed with LSG "Cotton Candy Pink".  All the roses including the little rose buds are from I am Roses.  I added some pink twine behind the button to make it look like a bow to follow the sketch!  The small pink rosette trim next to the button is from Maya Road.  Finally, I used some  Ice Stickles in "Cherry Ice" to color the flowers on her outfit and for the center of the flower in her hair.  Hope you like this and thanks for stopping by!   Have a great weekend! :)

Beach page from Scrap Journal

Hello! I feel like I haven't really been doing many cards lately and I've recently joined Bona's group on Facebook where I'm creating a journal using scraps.  I've completed a few pages of my journal and wanted to share this page because I really like the way it came out.  I also love this picture of my son, Ryan boogie boarding at the beach.  He was so happy when I caught this on film! :)  I painted some of the background in a few different acrylic blue paints from the Martha Stewart collection.  I layered pieces of my "scraps" from the Bo Bunny "Barefoot and Bliss" collection.  The crab and shell were some Tattered Angels chipboard pieces which I shimmered up with TA "Patina" and "Moonlight".  I used some Tim Holtz distress ink in "Broken China" too.  I love the way they came out.  Hope to share more projects soon!  Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by! :)

Syren Birthday Card

Hello! Just wanted to share this super fast card I made for a sweet co-worker using Syren from GFS. Love love this image and she is so fun to color up with my copic markers.  I used a new spellbinder die cut "Labels 23" and layered some random Cosmo Cricket paper scraps I had.  Still working on my scrap journal so I'm all about scraps right now! Lol  The large purple and white rose is from WOC and the two mini teal rosettes are from IAR.  All are sprayed up with TA "Iridescent Gold".  The sentiment is from a mermaid stamp set from MFT.  I just punched the sides with a small square punch to give it that banner look.  I added some small rhinestones on the side from Kaiser Craft.  Have a great rest of the week!

My Scrap Journal

Rainy days are perfect for scrapping! :)  I joined Bona's Scrap journal group on FB recently which I'm totally excited about!  This journal group uses all "scraps" to make a journal which is an awesome idea.  I'm such a paper hoarder and hate to throw away anything so this is perfect for me! :) I've had no time this week to craft but was finally able to get my cover for my journal completed last night. I used all the leftover scraps from the Glitz "Pretty in Pink" collection.  I can't believe with all the projects I've done with that paper recently, I still have extra!! I'll have to make another card or something! Lol  The banner, butterflies, scalloped borders and birdcage die cuts are from MFT.  The pink flower on the top corner is from Kaiser Craft, the rosette trim on the side is from Frog Feathers on Etsy.  The 2 small brown clay rosettes and pink daisies are Recollections.  Everything else is I am Roses.  The brown daisy I sprayed with "Chocolate Truffle" from LSG.  I also used powdered mica in Rose from LSG to paint up the small rosette holding the birdcage.  I sprayed the crochet  flowers with "Cherub Pink" from Tattered angels.  I like how that came out with a subtle hint of pink. So enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Marcy

Bird in a Bird cage card

Hope everyone's week is starting out well and you survived the time change!  Losing an hour of sleepy time was so hard!!!  Anyways, wanted to start this week by sharing a quick and simple card I made to send to the host for my mini album project.  I again used the same Glitz papers "Pretty in Pink" which I used for the album. I also used the MFT bird and birdcage die cut.  This is one of my favorites!  The brown rose is from Wild Orchid crafts and the pink cherry blossoms and white crochet flowers are from I am Roses.  Love love crochet flowers!  The cute ivory loopy trim is from a RAK I received from a friend recently. Enjoy your week and thanks for stopping over! :)

Pretty in Pink Mini Album Share

Happy Friday!  What a week!!! I'm looking forward to the weekend although it's going to be hard to find some time for crafting!  I feel like it's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share a mini album which I'm going to ship off this weekend.  This mini album will go to a cancer patient in a journaling class.  I joined this project from a forum on Life on the (Scrap) Beach.  I wanted to keep the album simple and non-complicated for the the person who receives it so that she can use it for class.  Usually I am heavy with embellishing my projects so this was a challenge for me! Lol  I started out using 6x6 medium weight chipboard and covered it with papers from the Glitz "Pretty in Pink" paper collection.  I bound everything using my Bind it All and tied some crinkled pink seam binding.  The charms hanging are a key locket and a crystal pink gem. For the front I used a combination of I am Roses and Wild Orchid Craft flowers sprayed with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold. The cute bird, birdcage and butterfly die cuts are MFT.  The pink and white flower trim are from Karla S001 Etsy store.  I used a Tim Holtz token which says "Journey" on it.  My pink daisy was actually ivory but I colored it up with Lindy Stamp Gang "Cotton Candy Pink" starburst stain.   On the other photo, you can see more pink trim from frog feathers, flowers from Prima and Wheat Leaves from Karla's store again.  Hope you all like it!  Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by! Mermaid Anya card

One day to go before the weekend!!!  I hope you all have had a great week!  This one was such a busy one for me and I have a feeling the weekend will be the same!  I'm continuing to work on my mini-album project for cancer.  I also wanted to quickly share a simple card I made.  I am on an "Anya" roll these days! lol  The stamped image is again from the Greeting Farm and is called "Mermaid Anya".   I colored her up with my Copic markers. I'm still practicing my black hair!  I added pearl "blings" from Recollections on her hair. I layered the cute mermaid on a blossom spellbinder die cut.  The papers are from Prima "Fairy Flora" which I really love.  The cherry blossoms are from I am Roses and sprayed over with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds.  The gorgeous pink trim is from Frog Feathers on Etsy.  Below that I layered a scalloped border die cut from My Favorite Things. Happy Thursday and thanks for stopping by!
