Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Hello, Friend!

Happy Saturday Friends!  Today, I have a fun card share for you.  Hope you like it!

And here it is...

I love the Cheeky Cherry Collection from The Greeting Farm and this is one image I don't feel I use enough!  But she is really so adorable and caught my eye when I was looking for images to use for today!  This is Cheeky Chat!  With the life being so busy these days,  I think many of us rely on technology like emails or texting. What would I do without texting every day?!!! LOL  But that's why this image really makes me remember the good ol' days when I used to actually love to pick up the phone and talk for hours...especially with my BFF! :)  I  know I need to do more of that and this image really did make me smile!  After coloring up this cutie with my copic markers, I then added  Wink of Stella over parts of her outfit to give her some shimmer.   The fun papers I used are called Hey Kid by Pink Paislee.  I think the cheerful bright colors and cool design went well as a background for her. To finish off my card, I used an older MFT stamp set called "Ring Me" for my sentiment.  I also added some sequins and twine.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Cheeky Chat - The Greeting Farm
Mustard Seed - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Steel Grey Hybrid Ink - My Favorite Things
Ring Me Stamp Set - My Favorite Things
Hey Kid - Pink Paislee

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Happy Father's Day!

Hello Friends!  Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  In preparation of the Father's Day Holiday coming up, I thought I'd create a Father's Day card for my share today!

And here it is...

I had so much fun water coloring with my distress markers for the last card that I couldn't resist making another card with a water colored background!  For this one, I used a background stamp I have in my stash and stamped it onto some Tim Holtz water color paper using my Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad.  I then added some white embossing powder from Recollections and heat set it.  Over this cool design, I water colored over it with my distress inks and water using some colors I thought would make a good background for a masculine card.  The colors I used were Pumice StoneFaded Jeans and Black Soot.  I really love the way they blended together so well!  I added some splattered ink to parts of it for a fun effect!  The sentiment came from a Winnie & Walter Set called "The Big, the Bold & You".   I also embossed this sentiment and used some Sparkle Black Ranger embossing powder for this.  The die cut used for the background is from MFT called Warm Wishes Die-Namics.  To finish off my card, I added some enamel dots and twine.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Faded Jeans - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Soot - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Pumice Stone -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Warm Wishes Die-Namics - My Favorite Things
Water Color Paper - Tim Holtz
Black Sparkle Embossing Powder -Ranger
The Big, the Bold & You - Winnie & Walter

For those of you celebrating Father's Day, I hope the "Dads" in your family have a special day and that you all have a wonderful celebration!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: I Thank My Lucky Stars for You

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!!  We have a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week for you!  Our theme is "Masculine"!  Our fantastic sponsor  is Bugaboo Stamps !!!

Here's my card...

With my household full of boys, it's a wonder that masculine cards are still always a challenge for me!  But with Father's Day coming up, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to make a Father's Day card!  I thought this one would be fun to make for my hubby.  Plus, I wanted to do a lot with my background and I knew he would forgive any of my mistakes! LOL   I have been wanting to use this fun stamp set by W9 called "Lucky Stars" for some time so I was happy to finally take it out to create.  I stamped using my Versamark Water Stamp and embossed my stars and sentiment using some Pale Gold embossing powder by Hero Arts.  I then water colored my background using various Tim Holtz distress inks.  This is always so much fun to do! I used the resist technique with some water droplets for a cool effect.  I also took some of the leftover water color to splatter small droplets in various sections. I really like the way the background came out!  To finish off my card, I added some black and white twine and also some small platinum heart sequins from Pretty Posh.

Here is my full supply list:
Seedless Preserves - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Soot - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Faded Jeans- Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Salty Ocean- Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Lucky Stars - W9
Pale Gold Embossing Powder - Hero Arts

Hope you enjoyed my card!  Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Happy Graduation cards

Happy Saturday Friends!  Hope you've had a wonderful week and are starting a great weekend!  For my kids, it is the last week of school so we've been so busy with school events and graduations.  2 of my sons graduated the last few days from middle school and elementary school.  The schools over here have promotion ceremonies for this which are so so special and fun to watch!

So my share today are a few very simple graduation cards I created for my kids in celebration of their milestone events!

Here they are...

The 2 adorable graduate images are Graduation Luka from La La Land Crafts and Grad Ian (digi) from The Greeting Farm.  Both are so perfect for these celebration cards!  I colored both images up with my copics and kept the cards very CAS to really just focus in on the fun images and the special graduation theme.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Graduation Luka - La La Land Crafts
Grad Ian - The Greeting Farm

I always have mixed emotions when it comes to these events.  I'm sad knowing that my kids are leaving the schools they love and where have established so many special memories at.  However, I'm excited for their new journeys to begin at new schools!

For all of you celebrating 2015 graduations,  a big congratulations to your celebrants and to your families!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy
