Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Gorjuss Shadow Box

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge! We have your favorite "Anything Goes" this week so I hope you will have a chance to join in!

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Shape EZ!!!

Here is my inspiration project for you all...

I felt like having some wall art for my craft area and so for my project, I made a little shadow box using the adorable Gorjuss stamp image called The Pretend Friend.  She is so adorable and I colored her up with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her outfit and bow in her hair.  I also used the frame which comes with the stamp set.  I embossed the image and then  sprayed it with my Lindy Stamp Gang "Cotton Candy" pink.   I added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and also added a few pieces of bling for some added sparkle.   The pretty papers I used for the background are called "Anna Marie" by Prima.  I'm so glad these had a chance to come out of my hoard vault for a bit! Lol   For my box, this is made out of some light weight chipboard which I colored up with some white acrylic paint.  I added some pretty trims inside and outside the box.

Here's a pic of the side of the box...

Here are some additional supplies used on my card:
Victoria Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo - Memento

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see the other projects made by my fellow DT gals!  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes from the store!

Hope you all like my shadow box!  Enjoy your week! :)

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day: Enjoy Your Day!

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Today is my Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day and I have card share for you all!

Here's my card...

Today, my card features an adorable image by MFT called Springtime Wishes!  This is from the new Doodle Garden collection by MFT.  These images are so cute and I have already been starting a collection of them.  Even though this cutie is perfect for a Spring theme, I colored her up in some orange and teal since those are the favorite colors of the friend I will be giving this card to.  The pretty papers I used are called "Honey" by My Mind's Eye.  To finish off my card, I added some lace, flower and leaves from my stash and a few sprinkles of some teal sequins.  Hope you all like it!

Here are the Supplies Used:
Springtime Wishes - Doodle Gardens MFT
Broken China - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Honey - My Mind's Eye
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink

I'm entering this into this week's MFT Card Sketch #169.  I turned the sketch around which fit my layout better! Wish me luck! :)

Have a wonderful Saturday friends!

Hugs,
Marcy

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Flirty Anya in Chalk!

Hello Friends and hope you're all having a great Friday! I'm so looking forward to the weekend! And to start it off, we have a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge for you all.  This week's challenge theme is "Stitches".  These can be real or faux!

Here is my card for some inspiration...

So last weekend, I spent what seemed like hours browsing through You Tube videos which is something I love to do!  I have always admired the "Chalk" projects and love the look of them.  I was definitely inspired by what I was seeing and thought I would be brave to try out this technique!  So with this card I used the cute "Flirty Anya"! I just thought with her polka dot dress and chunky hair, she was perfect for my card.  I stamped her in some white ink and then I took a baby wipe and smudged some white ink around the black card stock to give it that chalkboard look. I don't think it shows too well in my photo but it's a pretty cool effect!  I added some stamped flowers I also chalked up in some pink chalk ink and then added some pretty pink ribbon I had in my stash.  For the challenge theme, I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen around the tag Anya is stamped on as well as the layered black card stock.  I even have a stitched rectangle die I used on some of the papers.  The pretty pink polka dot paper is from a collection called "Chalk Studio" by My Mind's Eye which is also carried at the TGF store

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other "stitched" themed projects from the rest of the DT Farmers!  I'm really happy with the way my card came out and can't wait to make more of these "chalk" projects.  I hope I've given you some inspiration and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: This can get Ugly!!! :)

Hello Friends and welcome to The Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!  Hope you're all having a great week!  We have a fun challenge today!  I know most of us who make craft projects have some paper pads, right?  Aren't there papers you have which just aren't your style or maybe you think they're just plain ugly?!!  Lol  Well you might want to use some of those papers by joining in our challenge this week!  That's right, our theme is to Use Your Ugly Papers!!!

Our fantastic sponsor this week is Eureka Stamps!!!

Here is my card...

So most of you might know that I just love paper!  There's a hint in the name of my blog...My Paperie Dreams! :)  I have tons of it too and many of my favorites like G45 and Prima often stay in my hoard vault for quite some time!  When making cards, I seem to look for certain designs and others I have trouble finding the perfect project or card to use them for.  That's what made this challenge lots of fun for me.   For my card, I used some patterns and colors I would not normally use.  Not that I think they are actually ugly because it really is hard for me to find true "ugly" papers!  LOL  However, they aren't ones that I would normally reach for when making something.  Let me start off with the cute image which is  My Guy Ian  by The Greeting Farm.  I knew this guy would make anything look adorable!  I also have a few "guy" birthdays to make some cards for so I thought he would be perfect!  Now for my papers, I did use a paper pad I really like which is called Powder Mountain by Bo Bunny.  These papers are very pretty and perfect for many occasions.  But I have to admit that there are a few sheets which have not been touched.  As you an see, there is a background of some pine cones and also some darker patterns.  Both are not papers I would have normally picked out.  But I do think they turned out pretty cool with cute Ian.  Plus this card is going to good friend who enjoys hiking and being outdoors so maybe he'll dig the pine cones! Lol I'm hoping he'll like this card and I hope you all do too! :)

Here are some additional supplies used on my card:
Black Tuxedo - Memento
Faded Jeans - Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see the other projects made by the design team.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes from the store! Come join us and turn your "ugly" papers into some beautiful projects! :)

Hope you all like my card and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Marcy
