Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Best Day Ever!

Hello Friends!  Happy Saturday and hope you're all having a great weekend.  We've been having such great weather here in California and I'm definitely loving this start of Summer!

Here is my card for Loves Rubberstamps to share with you all today...

This image which features The Greeting Farm's Dollie with Ice Cream also reminds me of Summer!  Doesn't she look so sweet with her cool treat?!!  I colored up cute Dollie with my Copic Markers and added some stickles to parts of her outfit.   The fun papers I used are from Doodlebug Designs called "Fruit Stand".   Love how fun and bright these papers are!   To finish off my card, I added some random enamel dots from My Mind's Eye.   The sentiment "Best Day Ever" comes with this fun stamp set.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Dollie with Ice Cream - The Greeting Farm
Fruit Stand - Doodlebug Designs
Picked Raspberry - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Enamel Dots - My Mind's Eye
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Let's get sketchy with Miss Anya Summer!

Happy TGIF Friends!!!  Today starts another Farm Fresh Friday challenge and we have a sketch for you today.   Here it is...

and here is my card...

After the long holiday weekend and having family over, my "mojo" seemed to be hiding out so it was the perfect week to have a sketch to follow!  Sketches are a great way to create a base for cards and often do bring that "mojo" back! :)  For my card, I wanted to use the adorable Miss Anya Summer again.  I had fun coloring her up with my copics and adding some Wink of Stella to her outfit as well as the Hello Die cut.  Just love the shimmer those pens give!  The flowers I used were just some plain white ones from Recollections.   I took some random glimmer mist bottles I found in my stash and splattered them onto my flowers using a small paintbrush.  I thought they went well with this artsy paper collection by Glitz called "Afternoon Muse".

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the rest of the DT's take on the sketch challenge.   Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Add Doodling!

Hello and welcome to a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge:  Add Doodling!!! I hope you all had a nice Memorial Day weekend!  It was pretty relaxing for us which was a good thing since I am still trying to recoup from colds.  We also had a great family BBQ and it was nice to see family and catch up.

So before I show you my project, let me tell you about our sponsors!
Our fabulous sponsors this week are Eureka Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps!!!
Here is my card:

This was definitely a challenge for me since I have never "Doodled" on my cards and I really don't like to see my own writing! LOL  I don't even like journaling much because of this!  But it was definitely fun once I got into it.  The fun image I used is a Bugaboo digi called "Ava Birthday Balloons".  I thought she was perfect for this challenge because a lot of this image really looks "doodled" to me already.  After coloring her up with my Copic Markers, I doodled on the border of the card as you can probably tell and I also doodled a few hearts cute Ava's dress!  That was a lot of fun!  I also added some Stardust stickles by Ranger to the ribbon on her hair as well as the hearts.  I kept this card pretty CAS because I wanted the doodling to stand out a bit more so I just added my finishing touches of some twine and sequins.

Here are some other supplies used on my card:
Sentiment "Need a Lift" - TGF Anya Lifts
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see the other fun "Doodle" projects made by the DT!  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes from the store!

Hope you all like my card and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Water coloring with Distress Inks

Happy Saturday all!  I have a super fun card to share for my Loves Rubberstamps Inspiration Day

Here it is...

So if you follow my blog, you'll see that I recently made a card very similar to this using my new Koi watercolor set!  If you want to see that card,  please click here!  There are so many background techniques I'm seeing these days and many of them include water coloring of some sort.  After making my card using my water color set, I wanted to make another one using distress inks with water.  When I tried this technique, the background came out just as pretty with a little bit of a different look! I absolutely love it and it was so much fun to create!  The image I used is the adorable Surfer Ian from The Greeting Farm.  The background looks so much like a sunset at the beach so I thought he would be perfect on this card! :)   I colored cute Ian with my Copic Markers.   For the background, I used a variety of Tim Holtz distress inks and added some water to let the colors blend together.  I then went over it with a paint brush to blend even more.  I wanted to focus on the background and image so I kept the card pretty simple by just adding some random enamel dots.  The sentiment "Smile" comes from the TGF Delicates Word Die Set.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Surfer Ian - The Greeting Farm
Delicates Word Die Set - The Greeting Farm
Picked Raspberry - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Spiced Marmalade - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Mustard Seed - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Peacock Feathers - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Broken China - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Pumice Stone - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink
Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card as well as all the beautiful distress inks available.

Have a wonderful Memorial Holiday weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy
