Tiddly Inks DT call Tryout featuring "Fairy Sunny Day"

Hello Friends!  I wanted to share a card I made for the Tiddly Inks DT call.  Yes, I decided to throw my hat into the ring since I've always loved their sweet images and I know their DT team is just amazing! I think today is actually the last day to enter for the call and there are so many gorgeous entrees out there already! If you're interested in trying out yourself, get over to the Tiddly Inks Blog right away to see the details and throw your hat into the ring too! :)

So here is my card...

This card uses the adorable "Fairy Sunny Day" and  I had so much fun coloring and creating with this sweet image.  I absolutely love fairies and this is one of my favorites!  I colored up sweet Wryn with my copic markers and added some Ranger stickles in "Diamond" to her wings to make them sparkle.  I then laid her on some layered designer papers from Fancy Pants called "Hopscotch".  These papers are so pretty and versatile for so many different types of projects.  I edged all of them with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  The small doily peeking out is cut out using a die from MFT's dainty doily duo set.  I am still obsessed with doilies these days! Lol I added some pretty flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which I sprayed up with Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" to give it some shimmer.  The cute butterfly and pink pearl bling on the card are from Prima.  The sentiment "Walking on Sunshine" is from the the same stamp set.  I love how some of the sets come with the sentiment since I am always searching for the right words to say and these just match up so perfectly with the images!

So I hope you all like my card and I hope the Tiddly Inks team does too! :)  If anything, I'm happy I was able to make another card with this beautiful image.  Wish me luck and have a wonderful rest of the week! Hugs, Marcy

Happy Tuesday everyone and hope you are all having a fantastic week so far!  I'm still trying to catch up on so many things since I was busy with my son, Ethan's birthday party this last Saturday and having family and friends in town all weekend.  Although I'm a little sad to see the extended celebration end, I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal in our household.  Here's a picture of the cute birthday boy! He had so much fun at his beach Monster's University party! :)

So on to our Challenge....This week's challenge is  "Tall and Skinny".  Make a card that fits in a standard business size envelope-Card will measure 4"x9".

Here is my card for this week's challenge...

This card features "Garden Anya" from The Greeting Farm.   She is super adorable and perfect for many occasions! I wanted to keep this card pretty simple and not too dimensional as I plan to mail it out.  The papers I used are from an older K & Company collection. I layered several papers together and edged them all with Pumice Stone.  I also added the The Greeting Farm Tulip border behind cute Anya.    Finally, I added some Kaiser Craft red rhinestones to finish off my card!

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring The Paper Shelter "Summer Holidays"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone's having a great week!  The theme for this week is "How Charming!" - Use a Charm on your Project.

Our wonderful sponsor is The Paper Shelter!!!

Here is my card...

So I was so excited for our DT to get another set of digis from The Paper Shelter to work with.  Of course, I couldn't resist using the adorable beach babe and I love Summer, right?!!  This image is called "Summer Holidays" and I had so much fun creating with this one.  Since my image was on the larger side, I decided to cut her out and using the papers, I created a little bit of a beach scene with her.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  The fun papers I used are from a Fancy Pants collection called "Summer Soul".  Such fun beach girl type papers. I edged all of my papers using Tim Holtz  Broken China distress ink. I added some light teal polka dot ribbon and added my flower charm hanging down from that using a making memories vintage findings garment pin.  To finish it off, I added some Kaiser Kraft dark pink rhinestones on the corners of the card.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

Happy Sunday everyone and hope you're all  having a wondering weekend!  I've been trying to get my house in order for my son, Ethan's birthday next weekend.  So a lot of chores done and A lot of chorse to still be done! However, I am enjoying a little bit of relaxing time and relaxing time for me usually includes crafting of some sort.

Here is a card I made for the blog hop...

And I guess you can say that I'm still in that "Christmas in July" mood.  I decided to make yet another Christmas card and this time using the adorable MFT's Pure Innocence Angel.  I've had her for a while and I thought she would be perfect for  Christmas.  Glad I didn't have to wait another 5 months! :)  After stamping this sweet image up with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo, I colored her up with my Copic Sketch markers.  I paper pieced her dress with some design papers called Powder Mountain by Bo Bunny.  I edged all of my papers in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans.  I layed her on some layered Spellbinders called Scalloped Ovals. I then added some snowflakes from the MFT Die set called Let it Snowflake.  I added some rhinestones and gem snowflakes as the centers as well as on the corners of the card.  The "You're an Angel" sentiment is also from the same stamp set which is perfect! So another Christmas card done and ready to go! Whoohooo!!!
