Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Kenny K's "Download Diva"

Happy Tuesday Blogger Friends!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Holiday weekend!  We had some really nice warm weather and so we enjoyed some pool and beach days over the weekend!  I just love Summer and so happy it is finally here!  I did have a chance to get some crafting done as well as my card for this week's Loves Rubberstamps Challenge!

I wanted to introduce our fabulous sponsor for this week's who is Kenny K!!!

And here is my card...

So I have really been in a "Mixed Media Arts" kind of mood lately.  In my last post, I showed you the mixed media tag I made for The Greeting Farm. For this challenge, I decided to try some of the same techniques on card.  The image I used is called Download Diva and I had so much fun creating with her.  The papers I used as the base are called "Sweet Afternoon" by Teresa Collins. I don't have a lot of light Shabby Chic paper collections so these really worked well.  I stamped my image with Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and colored her up with my copic markers.  I  edged my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  So once I had my image ready and laid down my papers, my paint brush took over. I lightly primed the papers with some gesso and then took some light modeling paste on to a brick stencil by Crafters Workshop.  With this background, I sprayed some of my Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst sprays in "Forget me Not" and "Cotton Candy.  I did the same thing with my flowers and also the paper ribbon you see on the bottom.  The ribbon was made using a die by "Lil Inkers".  I love this die and will be using it again for future projects.  I added a "Dream" ticket from Tim Holtz and then some Recollections bling to finish it off! The modeling paste didn't seem to stand out as much as it did on the tag so I'm not sure if I didn't add enough or dry it well before spraying.  Still, I'm pretty happy with the way my card came out!

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

Hope you all like my card for the week!  Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

The Greeting Farm May Guest Design Card featuring "Anya Garden" and Mixed Media tag featuring "WS Audrey"

Hello! I wanted to share my last post as a Guest Designer for May!  Wow, time flew and although I'm sad to leave the farm, I had such a great time sharing my TGF projects with all of you!   So I have a few to share with you today.  My first one is using "Garden Anya" and here she is...

I wanted to make another card with this adorable image as she is my favorite image from the May release.  I also couldn't wait to pair her up using the cute Tulip border die! I did a whole lot of paper piecing with this one and I had so much fun!  The fun paper collection I used is called "Hopscotch" by Fancy Pants.  I love this paper collection.  The papers are just so pretty and cheerful! I edged all of my papers with both Tim Holtz Broken China and Pumice Stone.  Behind cute Anya are some layered Spellbinders using Lacey Circles.  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in the corner as well as some pearl bling from Recollections.  The sentiment is from another TGF set called "Anya Blooms".  I'm definitely going to be using "Anya Garden" for many more projects to come!  And the new border dies are definitely the perfect embellishments to add to these images! I think this tulip border die is my favorite so far!

And  I have one more project to share for my last post. This is a mixed media tag featuring "WS Audrey"and here it is.....

So when Jessica, the TGF coordinator introduced me on the TGF blog for the first time, she mentioned that my profile picture reminded her of  "Audrey"!  Now this was very flattering to me because I don't think I'm nearly at all as cute as Audrey!!! :)  But I definitely knew I wanted to work with this cute image when I saw her and I also wanted to dedicate this to Jessica as a thank you for being an awesome coordinator and for being so helpful and kind both times I have guest designed for TGF!  So this mixed media tag was inspired by my friend, Arlene, who designed a mixed media tag for Lindy Stamp Gang last month.  You can check out her project on her blog here.   I have been wanting to make one of these mixed media tags for some time and thought this was the perfect time to do so.  I cut out my tag using some medium weight chipboard and added gesso to prime it. I used some light modeling paste and applied it to a brick stencil for the background.  I then added all my embellishments  which were a combination of flowers, wood pieces, lace and metal embellishments.  After gluing all my pieces down, I added a nice layer of gesso to these and then sprayed them up with my Lindy Stamp Gang sprays.  The Starburst sprays I used were "Forget me not", "Golden Sleigh Bells" and "Cotton Candy Pink".  I then added sweet Audrey as the center piece. I'm so excited to make my first mixed media tag and so happy with the way it came out!  Hope you like this tag as well as my Anya card!

Please check out The Greeting Farm Store for a ton of cute stamps as well as  The Greeting Farm blog to see Design Team projects and the latest TGF challenges!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

Hope everyone is having a fun Memorial Holiday weekend!  We are staying local and enjoying some fun family time and catching up on some needed chores around the house. Also, it's been warming up and I'm excited that we have a beach day planned for today!  I have been able to do some crafting as well and wanted to share a card I made for a friend's birthday!

So here's my card for my share today!

This cute little birthday girl is called "Balloon Heart Marci" from La La Land Crafts.  I went very "pinky girlie" with this one since she loves the color pink.  I colored up my image with my copic sketch markers and paper pieced most of her outfit. The papers I used in the background is called  "Paris Girl" from  Carta Bella.   Super pretty papers and I only picked up a few 12x12 sheets but wished I had the collection.  I edged all my papers with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet The  layered Spellbinders die behind cute Marci are Lacey Ovals. The pretty flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed these up with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold to give them some pretty shimmer and glued them all down using Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.  The sentiment "Cheers to You" is from The Greeting Farm Blush Beatrice set .  I stamped this on a handmade banner using memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I added some pink pearl bling from Recollections to finish it off.

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge with an altered frame featuring "Thank You"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday challenge!  I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  It's feeling like Summer already and I can't wait to start hitting the beach these coming weekends! So excited!!

I'd like to introduce our Fabulous sponsor for the week and that is Saturated Canary!!!

The theme this week is actually something different....It is "Anything But a Card".

So here's my project....

I was really excited about this challenge!  I just love making cards but as many of you know, I also love altering items so I thought this would be the perfect time to make another altered project!  I decided to alter a picture frame which I plan to give to my niece.  This is one of those $1 plain wood frames which I picked up at Michaels.  I covered it using a Glitz paper collection called "Laces with Grace" which is a super pretty collection.  This background paper with the butterflies is my favorite design of this collection.  I used some Ranger Glue and Seal to glue it down to the frame. I then sanded it down and used my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.  The sweet image is called "Thank You" by Saturated Canary.  Isn't she so adorable?!!! I stamped my image using Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored up this cute girl with my copic sketch markers.  I added some teal ribbon in my stash and also layered a strand of some small cream pearls on top of that.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Recollections. I added some small pearl centers to the small flowers. I also added some butterflies cut out using a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then a Tim Holtz ticket which says "Dream".

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.  I'd love to see your creative projects! :)

Hope you all like my project for the week!  Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

The Greeting Farm May Guest Design Card featuring "Anya Strolls"

Hello!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  It's definitely feeling like Summer where I am in California and unfortunately due to so many weekend events going on, I missed my beach trip!  Oh well, I know there are many more to come. I just really love Summer!

So Today is my 2nd TGF Guest Designer post for May and here is my project...

I'm happy to share my card creation featuring "Anya Strolls".  I am loving these big Anya stamps and this one is simply adorable! I had so much fun creating with her.  Check out the cute little dog!  I went pretty "girlie" with this card and used one of my favorite combos of pink, black and white.  The paper collection I used is by Carta Bella called "Paris Girl".  For some reason, when I first saw this image, I did think of a stroll in Paris so this was perfect! I edged all of my papers using Tim Holtz Distress ink in Pumice Stone.  I also used the TGF Gate die.  Using the dies from the May Release are my first time working with the TGF dies and I am so impressed with them.  Not only are they so detailed with great designs, they are super easy to cut with as well.  I'm definitely going to be buying more of these dies as they come available! And the sentiments that come with these big stamps set are awesome. I love this one!  The pretty flowers in the corner are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Please check out The Greeting Farm Store for a ton of cute stamps as well as  The Greeting Farm blog to see Design Team projects and the latest TGF challenges!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  This weekend has been so busy with so many events my head is still spinning! LOL  My son, Ryan had his last  baseball game for playoffs. We were sad to lose our final game and end the season but it was so exciting to watch, especially since the kids have really worked hard and come a long way. We also had some 1st Communion events and a great Spring Concert for Ryan's school band which was such a joy to watch for our family.  With all the busy weekends this last month, I'm hoping to get some cleaning done today which is badly needed.  I feel so behind but I'm determined to get some things accomplished!

Anyways, I'm excited to share my blog hop project for the week and here it is....

This started out as an old Christmas gift card tin that's been laying around forever.  I had been wanting to alter it for quite some time. With Teacher's Appreciation week coming up next week,  I planned on getting my son, Noah's teacher a gift card to the Lake Shore Learning Store.  She is one of Noah's (and my) favorite teachers!  She's super sweet and also a cute and bubbly young blond so I thought Cheeky Geeky from The Greeting Farm would be perfect for her!

Here are some other pictures...

The gorgeous papers I used are Graphic 45's ABC Primer.  I love all the G45 papers and this is one of my favorite.  I edged all the papers using one of my favorite Tim Holtz distress inks in Pumice Stone before laying them down.  I used Memento Ink in Black Tuxedo to stamp my cheeky gal image and sentiment "Teacher".  I colored her up using my copic sketch markers and also used my giltter atyouspica pens to add some sparkle to her eyeglasses and her tie.  I paper pieced her outfit and laid her on top of  an MFT die-namics called Notebook Edge.  This die is perfect for school related projects and super fun to use! I cut out some additional images from the papers and added it behind my image.  I also added a few Cherry Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.  On the sides of the tin, I used some red gingham trim which I picked up at Michaels and also some Maya Arts pleated red trim.  I added some black pearl trim layered on top of that.  For the inside and bottom of my tin, I  kept it simple with just the papers.  These papers are so pretty in itself  you really don't have to do much which is what I love about all the G45 papers.  I'm really happy with the way it came out and I hope Noah's teacher will like it too!

Please be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find crafting supplies used on this project.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see design team projects as well as information on prizes and winnings!

Hope you all like my project and thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!:)

So I was really happy about having this challenge.  I love using flowers on all of my projects and so this was just perfect for me.  The image I used is the adorable "Retro Girl 1" by Birdie Brown.  There are 2 other "Retro Girls" and they are all so super cute!  I had fun coloring up this cute girl with my copic markers.  The design papers I used are from a collection called Cashmere Dame by Glitz!  This set of design papers are is so pretty.  Using the DP, I handmade a banner which  I stamped my sentiment "Smile" on  it with Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I  edged my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Pumice Stone.   I have a doily you can barely see peeking out behind the flowers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I sprayed them up using my Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold to give them some shimmer.
