Happy Sunday All! Hope you've all be having a good weekend so far.  I was so looking forward to the weekend to relax and catch up on some things but my very busy week turned into a very busy weekend! So it started out a little stressful earlier this week when my goddaughter was checked into ER and diagnosed to have pneumonia! :(  Since I had been praying for her since this happened and thinking of her often, I decided to make her a cute "girly" card she could look at while she was in the hospital.  I was able to actually bring it to her this Saturday morning along with some gifts to enjoy. The good news is that she's on the road to recovery and doing so much better.  That along with my son, Noah's great soccer game with an awesome goal and getting together with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday made the weekend end on a better note!

So here's the tag/card I made which I also wanted to share for my Sunday inspiration...

As I mentioned, I wanted to make something really "girly"just because my goddaughter is such a "girly" girl! :)  With her being sick, I thought of comfort and this image of The Greeting Farm's  Cuddle Anya was so perfect for this occasion!!!  Isn't she so adorable with her little bear hat and little teddy bear?!!!  I stamped cute Anya with my favorite Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored her up with my copic sketch markers.  The base of my card is actually a page from a flower chipboard album which I've taken apart.  I wanted to make this so that she can also hang the card in her room when she gets home.  The paper collection I used is called "Childish" by Fancy Pants.  So perfect for my little girl theme and such fun papers. Behind her peeking out are some layered doilies from the MFT Die-Namics set call Doily Duo Die set.  I edged all of my papers using Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet. I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pink acrylic small teddy bears.  The beautiful pink sequins trim around the flower card is from my stash.  I love how shiny and pretty it is!  For the top, I added a large eyelet and tied a bow through that using some soft pink sheer ribbon also from my stash.  Finally, I added a heart charm to the top hooked onto the bow using a garment pin.

I'm entering this into the TGF-FFF Challenge-Tags

Hope you all like my project and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Kenny K's "Boogie Down"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Happy Tuesday all and hope you're having a great week!  A lot going on this week for me so I'm trying to stay organized!  Also, the weather has cooled off quite a bit with the 1st day of Fall being yesterday.  So even though I am sorry to see Summer leave, I'm looking forward to the cooler temperatures and getting prepared for the holidays!  So what great timing for the challenge this week which is to use "Fall Colors"!!!  Our sponsor for this challenge is the fantastic Kenny K!!!
Here is my card  to share with all of you...

The card features a fun image called  Boogie Down by Kenny K   She is part of my favorite Glam Gang collection. She is just too cute and I love the boom box in the image too!   I stamped up my image on white cardstock with my Black Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored her up with my copic sketch markers.   I used some warm colors to match the papers for this theme.  The paper collection I used is called  Apple Cider by Bo Bunny.  These papers have a lot of Harvest inspired backgrounds such as pumpkins and apples.  However, they are so versatile and looked perfect with my image as well!  I edged all of my papers with Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress ink.  I added some white doilies peaking out on the top and bottom also edged with the Walnut Stain. My finishing touches were to add some bright orange ribbon which I made into a bow and some Kaiser Kraft rhinestones in gold to the corners of my card.  The sentiment "Celebrate" comes from a stamp set I had in my stash.  This is going to a friend for her birthday so I thought it went well!

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday" Blog Hop featuring TGF "Do Si Do Anya"

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to be in a monthly drawing for a $20 Loves Rubberstamps Gift Voucher!  We will draw the winner of the Voucher the 1st Sunday of each month! Remember, you have until 8:00 pm CST Saturday to leave your comments!

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  It's cooled off quiet a bit over here and we enjoyed staying local for a sports event weekend.  My son, Noah had another awesome soccer game and today, we will be watching my son, Ryan's 1st Fall Baseball game of the season.  I did get to enjoy some crafting time and I wanted to share my card I've made for this week's Sunday inspiration.

Here is my card....

So I first want to share the card template I used. I was excited to run across this Splitcoast Stamper tutorial for a Modified Tri-Shutter Card. Now I have to admit that some of these new templates really overwhelm me and it usually takes me a few times to get something down.  But this card was super easy to follow and so much fun to make!  In the tutorial, it shows how it  can easily be laid flat and mailed.  Of course, I couldn't resist getting dimensional with this card! :)  However, I definitely plan to make some Halloween cards which will actually fit in an envelope for once! LOL  So back to my card...this features the cute Do Si Do Anya from The Greeting Farm!  Originally, I had thought of giving her a more "Western" or "Country" theme.  However, I really wanted to use her on this birthday card I was making and so excited with the way she came out!  She's so adorable!!!  I stamped cute Anya with my favorite Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored her up with my copic sketch markers. The paper collection I used is a Kate Spade Collection called "Cambridge Court' by My Mind's Eye.  These are such gorgeous papers!  I paper pieced Anya's dress and bow with the DP and also added a sentiment from the paper collection as well.  I also added some layered Spellbinders behind her in Lacey Ovals Large.   All of my papers were edged with  Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet.  I added some roses and cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Craft and some pink pearl bling from Recollections.

I'm entering this card in the following challenge: TGF Farm Fresh Friday-Paper Piecing
TGF Garden Variety-Blue Raspberry

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge featuring The Paper Shelter "Little Bit Grumpy"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! With Back to School, sports and all of the hectic schedules, I figured instead of dreading the "storm" to just get prepared for it instead! LOL  So with that being said, I joined in on the "Filofax craze" going on and decided to purchase my very first one!  Fortunately, they were having an awesome sale over at the Filofax online store so I didn't spend much at all.  I usually fill up my iPhone calendar with  everything and anything going on with our family.  However, I thought it would be cool to break out my lists and schedules on an organizer as well. I'm going to use this mostly for the kids' events as well as my DT project schedules which will keep me on track.  It will also be nice to add some notes if I have any sudden inspiration that comes to me at any time.  I plan to decorate some of my pages with stamped images etc so maybe I will share that when I have it organized and ready to go!:)

So this week's challenge is a fun "1,2, 3" Challenge.  The 1 is for a stamped image,  the 2  is for Design papers and 3 is for embellishments! So much fun!!!

Our wonderful sponsor is The Paper Shelter!!!

Here is my card  to share with all of you...

The card features a digi image by The Paper Shelter called "Little Bit Grumpy" I just think she is super adorable with her little grumpy face!  I stamped up my image on white cardstock with my Black Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored her up with my copic sketch markers.  Gosh, these images from TPS are so adorable but they definitely challenge me with my coloring skills! LOL  When the DT was provided with some of these adorable images, they also includes some already colored images.  This was very helpful as I based my shading off of that image which really helped me out, especially with the hair!  Now my hair is nowhere close to the perfected colored image I tried to mirror but I'm happy with my version! :)  These definitely give me great practice with coloring and of course they are all so cute too!  So my cute fairy girl is the "1" in my equation.  For the "2" design papers, I used the collection, Vicky B by Bo Bunny.  This was a little challenging for me as I normally use 3 to 4 backgrounds of the DP collection I am working with.  But I really wanted to stay true to the challenge so I used only 2 including the Spellbinders "Crochet Circles" die cut behind my image.  I edged all of my papers with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar. Finally, the "3" embellishments I used are the pretty green trim/ribbon on the bottom.  This trim is from Webster's and has been in my stash for quite some time.  I also embellished my card using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and then some pink pearl bling from Recollections.  I did use some white stickles in "Diamond" to paint on the flowers.  I added this also to the trim on the dress, ribbon and her eye shadow to give her some extra sparkle.  I'm not sure if this counts as another embellishment but I couldn't help myself! LOL  The smile sentiment is from a random stamp set I have in my stash.

Hope you all like my card!  Have a fantastic rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your kind comments!

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday" Blog Hop featuring TGF "Cheeky Howdy"

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Thanks for all of the well wishes on recovering from being sick.  I'm  feeling much better than I did last weekend and finally starting to feel like my normal self again! We had another heat wave in Southern Cali and this definitely has been one of the hottest days this year including what we had for most of the summer months.  Of course our family just had to get away to the beach to cool off! :)

I wanted to share a pic of my son, Noah, enjoying the water.  He's definitely the fish of the family!:) Despite the heat, the water was still very cold so he decided to wear his wetsuit! LOL  But the cool weather was really refreshing on this very hot day! And it definitely was gorgeous out there!:)

So on to my inspiration for you all this Sunday.  Here is my card....

I wanted to take out an oldie but goodie from TGF Cheeky Cherry Collection called "Cheeky Howdy"!  She is one of my favorite images from this collection and I think she is just so adorable!  I stamped my cheeky gal with my favorite Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored her up with my copic sketch markers. The paper collection I used is called "Farmhouse" by Crate Paper.  I couldn't resist using the design papers with the cherries to match the cherries in her hair!  I edged all of my papers in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans.  I went with the Cherry theme again using the cherry blossom flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sprayed these up with my Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" to give them some  pretty shimmer.  I also added some random pearl flourishes I've had in my stash. To further embellish, I added some light blue rhinestones from Kaiser Kraft to the corners of my card.  The sentiment "Smile" is from a random stamp set I have at home.

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring MFT's PI "Spa Day"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! This week is our "Back to School Night" week and having 3 kids in 3 different schools this year is hectic when it comes to events like this! Fortunately, all "Back to School" nights are on different days of this week so even though we'll be spending many of our evenings at school, at least we are able visit all 3 and breath while we're doing it! LOL  For this, I am so I am thankful!  I'm still battling my colds but feeling better each day so hopefully I'll be back to my normal self by end of week.

So back to our Tuesday challenge....This week, our challenge is to "Use a Sentiment".  Pretty easy, right?! :)

Our wonderful sponsor is Meljen's Designs!!!

Here is my card  to share with all of you...

The card features a stamp set called "Spa Day" from the MFT Pure Innocence Collection I stamped up my image on white cardstock with my Black Tuxedo Memento Ink and colored her up with my copic sketch markers.  I'm not sure if you can tell on her robe but I used some "Swan" Flocking Powder by Martha Stewart.  I mean why not have a soft cozy robe for Spa Day, right?!! :) The designer papers I layered together are from a collection called Here and Now by Echo Park.  This is such a fun collection and new at the store. I edged all of my papers with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar. The pink cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the white acrylic leaf stems are from my friend, Karla. I used my Mono Multi Liquid Glue by Tombow to adhere my embellishments.  The pink pearls on the corners are from Recollections and the ribbon is also from own stash.  The sentiment "Take Time for You" also comes from the same stamp set.  I love these PI sets which always come with a handful of sentiments to use!
