Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge using Eureka Stamps Butterfly with Sunflower

It's time for Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!!  This week, our challenge is "Let's get Krafty"!  The challenge was to use Kraft cardstock + another color of your choice.  Our wonderful sponsor for this week is Eureka stamps.

And here is my card:

I really enjoyed creating my card for this challenge.  And it definitely was a challenge not to use the multiple colors I am used to when coloring up my image.  This digi image I used is called "Butterfly with Sunflower".  When I saw the image, I immediately wanted a vibrant color to use for the butterfly so I went with the color orange.  I did use different shades of orange to color both the butterfly and the sunflowers.  I used the Spellbinder "Labels Twenty Two" to die cut my image.  I wanted to add some additional color around my white card stock so I used my Ranger Ink blending tool to add some Tim Holtz distress ink in "Marigold" around the image.  After using Kraft card stock as a base, I added some orange design paper from the collection "Apple Cider" from Bo Bunny.  This paper matched so well with the colors I used. I also added some orange flower lace trim I had in my stash to the bottom of the card.  The flower is made from Kraft tissue paper and I used the MFT "Rolled Daisy" to make it.  Because It was so soft, I layered and cut out 4 pieces before I started to roll.  I took a white rose bud from I am Roses and sprayed it with Lindy Stamp Gang's "Hogwart's Orange" to add to the middle of the flower with that extra orange color.  I'm happy with the way it turned out.  The sentiment is from an MFT "Sentimental About Butterflies" stamp set.  I thought it was perfect for my card.  Hope you enjoyed my "Krafty" project for the challenge and thanks again for all the sweet comments you leave on my blog! I love reading each and every one of them and they really make my day so special! :)

SSS Christmas Card using artist Morgan Fitzsimons' "Christmas"

Happy Monday Everyone!  Hope this week is starting well for all of you.  I've had a few days off of work and still I feel like the days flew! Seems like things go in fast motion once the holidays start.  I still have a bunch of Christmas cards to make so I'd better get "scrappin"! :)

So here is a card I've made for Scrapbook Stamp Society using an image by artist, Morgan Fitzsimons called  "Christmas"

I had so much fun making this card and coloring up this beautiful image! It really makes me think of the "True Christmas" theme and what it's all about.  I wanted to stick with the traditional Christmas colors of Red and Green but I also wanted to add a little blue to match Mary's clothing.  I love the paper collection I used for this card. It matched everything so well!  This collection is called "Holiday Style" by October Afternoon.  Such gorgeous papers!  I edged all the papers using Tim Holtz "Frayed Burlap".  The sentiment is from a Spellbinder's Christmas stamp set.  The cute poinsettias are from Jolee's.  I wanted to keep the card simple to focus more on this beautiful image.  I hope you all like my card and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" using PI Skater Boy

Happy Sunday Bloggers! Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Holiday and Black Friday shopping (if you dared)! My family had a great Thanksgiving Day and although I am currently dieting, I wasn't too strict on myself and enjoyed all the delicious foods without stuffing myself way too much as I usually do on Turkey Day! LOL  I also stayed away from Black Friday shopping this year, although it would have been nice to get an early start on Christmas shopping.  I know that it will be here before we know it!

Well today I want to share my card for Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations".  Here is my card:

This card uses MFT's "PI Skater Boy" and it was also perfect timing to make it for my son, Noah's 9th birthday which was a few days ago!  I stamped up this cute little boy using my memento ink in "Black Tuxedo" and colored him up with my copics.  I used the paper collection by Simple Stories called "Summer Fresh" to paper piece his shirt and skateboard.  I also used the fun papers for the background and also to make banners using the MFT "Banner Day" die.  I stamped "Noah" using a random stamp set I had.  Then I used my 1/4" circle to punch out the letters which I placed on dimensionals on top of each banner.  I also have some brown twine linking each banner together.  I added the same twine which I tied in a bow on top of a brown button as added embellishment.  The sentiment "Happy Birthday Dude" is also from the same MFT "PI Skater Boy" collection.  Finally I edged all papers with my Tim Holtz distress ink in "Frayed Burlap".  Hope you all like my card! I had so much fun making it!

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps Blog to see what other "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" were made by the rest of the Design Team.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps store for items I used on this card as well as much more!  There is a great promotion going on for "Cyber Monday" to get special gifts with purchase so head on over there. Time to load up on your supplies!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week ahead! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge using Paper Shelter Digi Warmin in the Winter

Its countdown time to Thanksgiving!!!  Time for turkey and good times with the family! I just love the holidays, don't you!  I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed that I'm on a diet at this time.  Gosh, who starts a diet right before the holidays! Hello??!!! LOL  Well at least I'm making progress so hopefully that will keep me motivated to not go too crazy with feasting this day!!! :)

So this week's Tuesday challenge at Loves Rubberstamps is "Fun with Ribbons" and we were asked to use ribbon in any way or form on our projects.

Here is my card:

Our sponsor for the week is The Paper Shelter and I used one of their super adorable digis called "Warmin in the Winter".  They have such great images and I had so much fun coloring this one.  I decided to satisfy my "ribbon challenge" by just tying a ribbon at the bottom of the card the old fashion way!  Okay, well actually I'll admit that I got a little help from my friend, the "Bow Easy"! LOL I love this template....I am not good at making ribbons and this template makes it so easy to tie them.  And the ribbons (big or small) always come out nice.  So back to the image, I colored her up with my copic makers and if you look closely, I added some fine glitter in a pearl color to the snow and the puff ball at the very top of her beanie.  I love the way this came out! The paper collection I used is from Bo Bunny "Mama Razzi".  The sentiment is from a random mini stamp set I had.  I used Tim Holtz distress ink in "Faded Jeans" to edge all the papers including the sentiment.  The blue flower on the top right was actually white petals from I am Roses which I sprayed up with Tattered Angels "Midnight" glimmer mist. I layered 3 of the petals on top of each other to give it lots of dimension and added a brown button with a twine ribbon to embellish the middle. I also added two white mini crochet flowers on each side of the blue flower.  So that's my card and I hope you like it!

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog to see what the rest of the Design Team made for this fun Ribbon challenge.  And why not try entering the Loves Rubberstamps challenge yourself to win some great prizes from the Loves Rubberstamps store!  You won't be disappointed.  I'll list the details below!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fun and safe Thanksgiving Day!!!

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" using Luka with Pumpkin

Hello and Sunday Blessings to everyone!  Hope everyone is staying warm! The weather has definitely changed as it has been cold, gloomy and rainy out here this whole weekend.  Looks like the sun might decide to peek out a little today but we'll see!  This kind of weather makes me want to get myself a hot mug of Hot Cocoa with marshmallows! I know that what I consider cold is not anything compared to some of you out there in below freezing weather,  but guess that's why I will always stay a "California Girl'! LOL  I would love to see a "White Christmas" one of these days and that will be a good reason to visit our relatives on the East coast!  Anyway, enough of weather...I want to share my Loves Rubbestamps "Sensational Sunday Inspiration" project with you all today!  Here is cute "Luka with pumpkin" from La La Land Crafts! I just had to get another Thanksgiving card in and he was perfect! I love love Luka.  He reminds me so much of my youngest son, Ethan.  This image is perfect for Thanksgiving and I couldn't wait to use him.  I stamped him on white card stock with my "Black Tuxedo" Memento ink and colored this cute boy up with my copic markers. The paper collection is called "Apple Cider" by Bo Bunny.  These are gorgeous "Autumn" themed papers with so much to choose from.  I layered a few of them together including the Spellbinders "Labels Twenty Two" behind Luka.  I also used some Green Bazzil card stock as the base. The pretty white flower spray and small butterfly is from Karla S001 on Esty.  The bling is from Recollections.  I realized that I don't have any true "Thanksgiving" stamp sets so I found this this Tim Holtz Thanksgiving embossing folder and just embossed one of the sayings on craft card stock. I then used my distress ink in "Frayed Burlap" to go over the embossing to make it more visible.  I like the way it came out!  I also inked all the papers with the distress ink as well.  Hope you all like this card!

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to also stop by the Loves Rubberstamps blog to check out other "Sensational Sunday Inspiration" projects by the Design Team as well as the Loves Rubberstamps store to find supplies I used for my project!  Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend and Thanksgiving ahead! Enjoy! :)

SSS using Heather Valentin's Miss Scarlet

Hello Bloggers!  I wanted to quickly share a Christmas card using Heather Valentin's "Miss Scarlet".  I love this digi image.  She was so fun to color up and I'm so thrilled that I was able to make a Christmas card using her!  I have several more christmas cards to make but at least I have finally made a dent! LOL  The pretty red trim is from Sahafuha on Etsy and the the pear trim is from Karla S001 on Etsy.  The cute Christmas carnations are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I sprayed them all up with "Iridescent Gold" as usual to give them a nice pretty shimmer.  The paper collection I used are gorgeous papers by My Mind's Eye and the collection is called "Holly Jolly". My bling is from Recollections and the sentiment  "Be Merry" is from a random stamp set that I had in my stash.  Hope everyone is getting ready for the Holidays!  It's almost here and I can't wait! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday challenge using Pilgrim Marci

Happy Tuesday Bloggers! I hope you all had a great weekend and a nice Veteran's Day.  I had Monday off  and am now getting ready for the rest of my busy week ahead!  It's also been cooling off quite a bit so need to get out those sweaters and boots!  Seems like just last week we were just having a heat wave here! Crazy weather, huh?!!

So the challenge this week is "Gobble Til You Wobble" which is definitely a Thanksgiving theme. I love all the delicious foods during Thanksgiving so I'm sure I'll be "Wobbling" too! LOL

  Here is my card:

I was excited to use "Pilgrim Marci"from La La Land Crafts.  She is super adorable and was so much fun to color up!  I used my copic markers to do so.   I definitely want to get "Pilgrim Luka" too so I can pair them together on another card!  The branches with the beads on the bottom are from Michael's.  I'm not sure if this was part of the Halloween collection but they were on clearance and practically free so I had to pick up a few of these sprays!  These matched perfectly with my card so I cut off some of the branches to use for the bottom.   I think they look really cute and very "Thanksgiving"! :) The "I'm so Grateful for you" sentiment is from an MFT Framed Greetings Die and matching stamp set. I used my Memento Ink in "Black Tuxedo" to stamp this. The rose and cherry blossoms are from I Am Roses and I sprayed them up with my Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" to make them nice and shimmery.  The bling is from Recollections.  The paper collection I used is a K&Company "Tim Coffey Holiday" collection. I also used some Green Bazzil cardstock for the background.   I hope you all like my Thanksgiving card!  Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT made for their challenge projects.  Also, come play along! I know you have all made or will be making Thanksgiving cards so why not enter it to win some great prizes?!!! :)  For "Pilgrim Marci" as well as many many more stamps, check out Loves Rubberstamps store. Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations"

Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  My weekend has been busy as usual but I'm so thrilled that my son, Noah's team was able to enter playoffs for AYSO and came out in 3rd place! Go Titans....Yay!!!  It was a really fun season and I'm sad to see it end.  It's been cooling down out here in Cali which is a nice change!  Finally, it is feeling more like Fall! LOL And now with Halloween over, the holidays are speeding up fast! I'd better start getting my holiday projects in order and time is running out! Yikes!  Anyways, today I wanted to share my "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" project.  I decided to do something a little different and make a tag for this week.  I used to always make tags but it's been some time since I've made one!  So today was the perfect opportunity to do just that!  The image I used in this tag is from Sweet Pea Stamps and it is from the Chou-Kuik collection called "The Serene Night".  I absolutely love mermaids and I love this image!  I had so much fun coloring her up with my copic markers.  I added some stickles in "Rock Candy" to the flowers on the branch next to her to give some shimmer.  I also added a pearl string to frame my image.  On the bottom, I layered some teal and lilac ribbon from my stash.  I also added some white flower trim from KarlaS001 on Etsy.  The pretty pink acrylic flower on top as well as the 2 porcelain flowers with the blue centers are also from Karla's store.  I added some fibers and ribbons from my stash in colors to match and looped it through my tag. And finally, I added a garment pin holding a heart as an extra embellishment.  Oh, and the paper collection I used was my favorite "Fairy Flora" by Prima!  Love love these papers!!! Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see all of the other "Sunday Sensationals" by the Loves Rubberstamps Design Team.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find this stamp as well as many more stamps and crafting items of all kinds.  Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Challenge using Party Lucy

Hello! It's that time of the week again for the Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenge!!!  This week our wonderful guest sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.  They have lots of fun card templates.  You can check them out here.

And here is my card:

This week's challenge is "Anything Goes" which is always a favorite challenge since you can make anything your crafty heart desires! :)  I decided to make a card using "Party Lucy" from CC Designs.  Isn't she adorable? I colored Lucy's hair, skin and shoes with my copic markers.  I used MME Lost and Found Paper Collection "Blush" for this card.  These were such gorgeous papers and I couldn't wait to use them to paper piece sweet Lucy's little outfit.  I also used the papers for the background including this super cute cupcake which is a template from The Cutting Cafe!  I just love Cupcakes!!! I had so much fun putting together this cupcake with my papers.  I also added some pink pearls from Recollections on top of the icing part of the cupcake.  These remind me of those pearl candy dots they sometimes add to those gourmet cupcakes.  They almost look edible! Lol  The sentiment "Got Cupcakes?" is from MFT.  I thought that saying was cute and went well with the card.  I stamped my sentiment and image using Memento Ink in "Black Tuxedo".  I also couldn't help but add some small pink and white flowers from I Am Roses as extra embellishment.

Hope you all like my card and I hope you will participate in the challenge and show us your creative projects.  There is a chance to win prizes for the Loves Rubberstamps Store which has so many great stamps and crafting items.  Also check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT made for this fun challenge!  Have an awesome rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" card using PI Being Cute is What I Do

Hello Bloggers!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!  This weekend was a little calmer than the weeks before.  Thank goodness!!! It has been kind of nice to have some extra time to get the home in order and even nicer to have a little more time to craft! :) So today I wanted to share my project for Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations"! My card features one of the Pure Innocence stamp collections by MFT.  This one is called "Being Cute is What I Do".  I love all of the PI stamps and this collection is one of my favorites. This card was super fun to create!  The paper collection I used is by Simple Stories called "Summer Fresh".  Such fun and pretty papers which I used for the background.  I paper pieced the clothing on my image which I love to do! I also used these papers for the Spellbinder Die cut behind the little PI girl called"Star Circles",  and also the MFT "Jumbo Scallop" Die cut on the bottom of the card.  The flowers are a combination of Wild Orchid Crafts and Kaiser Kraft.  I added some bling from Recollections on my card as extra embellishment.  The stamped sentiment "I Simply Adore You" is also from the PI stamp set.  Of course I used my Memento Ink in "Tuxedo Black" to stamp on this card as always and my copic markers to color up this cute image.  I used my Atyouspica glitter pen in "Twinkling Like Stars" for her shoes and rubber bands in her hair to add that extra sparkle. Also, not sure if you can see the card base too well but this is some new corrugated card stock in Kraft which I purchased at Michael's recently.  Love this look!

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!  Thanks also for all of your sweet comments. I truly appreciate this! :)

Be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see other DT projects for "Sensational Sunday Inspirations".  They are all amazing! :)

SSS Card using Sherry Baldy's Eliza Rose

Hello and Happy Friday!  Hope everyone had a great Halloween week.  We sure did! It was hectic but fun!:) I'm sad to see it go but looking forward to the coming holidays and I know they will be here fast so I'd better get going on my holiday projects!!! :) I wanted to share my project for Scrapbook Stamp Society this week.  This card features a digi image by artist Sherri Baldy and the image is called "Eliza Rose".  This image is really sweet and I had a lot of fun coloring her up with my copic markers.  I added some roses from Wild Orchid crafts. I sprayed the blue one with Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold".  The two small peach roses were a really pale peach and I wanted to give it a more "Pinky peach" color so I sprayed those with TA "Cherub pink". I think it came out pretty close to the color I was looking for.  I added some blue rhinestones by Kaiser Craft throughout the card.  The paper collection I used is by My Mind's Eye and it's called "Honeypie".  Lots of fun papers with a lot of peach and pink and blue to match my coloring! :) The sentiment "Hello Friend" is from a small Studio G stamp.  Hope you like my card and have a wonderful weekend! Happy TGIF!!! :)
