TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Wings!

Hello Friends and happy TGIF!  I am hosting the FFF challenge this week on The Greeting Farm Blog.  For the theme this week, I'm using one of my favorites of all time and that is "Wings"!!!  I know this theme has been popular with the recent challenges and I just couldn't resist myself as I love Fairies, Butterflies and Angels so much!

Here is my card for some inspiration...

This adorable little Bean gal is "Shiny Bean" and she comes from the new Magical Kit which has all of the stamps from this collection!  I just love this kit and "Shiny" is one of my new favorites.   So I used the same technique and even background stamp which I used for a recent inspiration post.  I just love the vibrant colors and watercolor effect that came out from using my Tim Holtz distress inks against the white embossing and some clear glimmer mist.  I knew I just had to make another one of these fun backgrounds and you can be sure that it won't be my last!  For my sweet girl, I colored her up with my copics and then added some Wink of Stella to her outfit and some stickles to her wings and jewel.  She is so full of pretty sparkle!!! :)  For the cloud background, I used one of my scallop die cuts and lightly sponged more distress ink over this to create this background.  I thought it came out pretty cool!  To finish off my card, I tied in some pink jute rope and added a handful of sequins.

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other fabulous creations from the DT Girls!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Marcy

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: A Warm Hello!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!!!  This week just flew by for me and I'm so happy the weekend is now here.  Doesn't it seem like as you get older, time moves so much faster?!
Well it definitely has been a hot summer in Cali for us and although I do love Summer as my favorite season, I am looking forward to Fall and the Holidays coming right around the corner.  This week's theme is here to get you all in the mood for the next season.  How about some Fall Colors?!!! :)

Here's my card...

I used the cute little boy from the new set Winter Kindness just because he is so super adorable and I couldn't wait to color him up with my copics.  I also played with my distress inks to color up the circle background and also decided to use some bright Fall papers.  The fun sentiment "A Warm Hello" comes from this fun set and I just moved the words around to make it fit better with my layout.

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to see the beautiful Fall cards from  the DT Girls!  Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! :)

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Back to School!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Hope you're all having a great start to your week.  Today, we start a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge.  I am excited that this week was my turn to pick the challenge theme.  Since I've been so busy with Back to School events this last month, it's been on my mind constantly and I thought it was perfect to pick this as our theme for the week!

Our fantastic sponsor is Rick St. Dennis!!!

Here is my card:

So even though we are just at the very beginning of the school year, I decided to get a HUGE head start on some teacher cards.  Since I just love Cheeky Lessons so much, I thought she would be perfect on my Teacher Thank you card for today!  I had so much fun coloring her up with my copic markers and decided to add some polka dots to her dress with my white gel pen.  I added some shimmer to the apple and her shoes using my Wink of Stella glitter pen.  I also added some glossy accents to her eye glasses which I thought came out pretty cool!  The fun papers I used which are perfect for the school theme is called Paper and Glue by Echo Park.  To finish off my card, I tied some twine and added some pretty blue sequins to match with Cheeky's dress.

Here are some other supplies used on my card:

Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink
Polka Dot Greetings - My Favorite Things
Faded Jeans - Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find this adorable image as well as many more images from the TGF Cheeky Collection.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see the amazing projects made by the other DT girls!  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes from the store!
