TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Back to School!

Happy TGIF Friends!  Today starts my vacation from work and it feels great to take a break even though we won't be going to any exotic vacations in far away lands! LOL  Now I'm hoping we might be able to get away for a local mini-trip at least but I'm thinking that majority of my vacation will probably be doing some organizing at the house as well as getting ready for Back to School!  Oh my, didn't summer break just start?! :(   Well just as fitting is our FFF Challenge this week.....Back to School!!!

And here's my inspiration.....

This adorable cutie is Cheer Anya!  I picked her up at a recent Farmer's Market and she is actually available in digi at the TGF Store.  When I saw her, I thought she would be perfect for this theme!  And I know I always need a little bit of cheering when getting back into the school year!  :)   I had a lot of fun coloring this cute girl up with my copics and also added quite a bit of my Wink of Stella in clear to her pom poms, ribbons and parts of her dress.  You can't see it too well in the picture but she definitely has lots of sparkle!  I paired Anya up with these fun cheerful papers by Pink Paislee called "Hey Girl" and then finished off my card with some ribbon and sequins from my stash.

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other fantastic "Back to School" projects from the rest of the DT gals!  Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: A Wish For You!

Hello Friends, It's Marcy with some inspiration for you all today!
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!  I've been making a lot of Summer cards lately and I think it's because I realize how fast my favorite season of the year is going by and I'm trying to hold on to what's left of it! :)

Here's yet another Summer inspiration card for you all today...

The adorable girl is from the Pure Innocence Collection called Make a Wish by My Favorite Things!  I think she looks like a "Summer" girl to me! :)    I've had this sweet stamp set for a while and couldn't wait to color her up with my  Copic Markers.  I also had so much fun paper piecing her outfit with some fun, bright papers called "Lemonade Stand" by Bo Bunny.   I kept my card pretty simple by just adding some small Prima flowers from my stash as well as some yellow jute to tie to the top of my card.

Here are the Supplies Used:
Make a Wish (Pure Innocence Collection) - MFT
Lemonade Stand - Bo Bunny
Flowers - Prima
Peacock Feathers - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo -Memento Ink
Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card and all the Pure Innocence Collection stamp sets.  There are so many to choose from!  Also, tomorrow we start a new Blog Hop so come back to visit!

Enjoy your Saturday and your Summer and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Marcy

TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: A Non-Traditional Christmas in July!

Hello Friends and Happy TGIF!!! We have a fun Farm Fresh Friday challenge for you today.   Get out those Christmas papers and embellies because today's theme is "Christmas in July"!!!

And here's what I created...

So I know this is nowhere near a "Traditional" Christmas project but I'll tell you it was hard to get some Winter Mojo these last few days with the heat! LOL  I think it is the cool teal blue colors I used which made this a little easier to create!  I also decided on making a tag and will save this to put on my Bestie's present since she really loves angels.  I used some random Christmas papers in my stash for the base and then added distress inks, trims and ribbon to decorate my tag along with a cute white Prima flower.  I colored up cute Angel Anya (Retired) with my copics and then added some stickles on her wings and halo.

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other amazing "Christmas in July" projects from the rest of the DT Farmers!  Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Hugs,
Marcy

The Greeting Farm Inspiration Day: A Snapshot of Summer with Twirl Anya!

Hello Friends!  I have a fun Summer card to share on the TGF Blog today!

Here it is...

DSCF0634
So this Summer is flying by way too fast and I'm trying to hold on to what's left of my favorite season of the year!   I wanted to make a Summer themed card to share and this adorable Twirl Anya was calling my name! :)   In fact, you may have seen Chitra's beautiful card using this cute gal just recently too!   I colored sweet Anya up with my copics and then thought it would be cute to frame her in a picture since that is what I want to do with all of my Summer memories!  I popped up the pinwheel she's holding to give it more dimension and then added my Wink of Stella for some shimmer.  The sentiment "My Sunshine" is from the new My Sunshine set which I thought went perfect with my theme.

I hope you are all enjoying your Summer and that this card gives you some fun inspiration.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge with some Fun in the Sun!!!

Hello Friends!  Happy Tuesday and hope everyone's enjoying their Summer so far! I know that it's going by so fast and I don't want it to end!   For my favorite season of the year, we've been trying to get our fill of going to the beach every chance we can and we are having so much fun!   Summer session of Jr. Lifeguard just ended for my boys Ryan and Noah, but they were so lucky to be able to go to the beach every day for this program.  They had hard daily workouts but also had lots of free time to play in the sun and enjoy water sports.  Here's a pic of them from their last competition at Carpenteria Beach just recently!

So with all my talk of the beach and Summer, it seems the perfect time to introduce our new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge this week and that is Summer Fun!!!

Our fantastic sponsor for this week is Kenny K!!!

Here is my card:

My card features a fun digi called "Racy Roxy" by Kenny K!  Kenny K has such great images and this pretty girl was so much fun to create with.  I colored her up with my Copic Markers and added my Wink of Stella in clear to her shades and the checkers on her outfit.  You can't really tell on the card but it looks very sparkly where I added the pen.  I decided to go with a background made using my Faded Dots Stencil  by Tim Holtz and some medium sculpting paste which I mixed in some Lindy Stamp Gang starburst spray in Cotton Candy Pink.  I also die cut a stitched circle  embossed with some polka dots for Roxy to sit on.  To finish off my card, I added some twine and sequins.  The Hello sentiment comes from a set called Contemporary Roses by My Favorite Things. Love the font on this!

Here are some other supplies used on my card:
Picked Raspberry - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my project as well as the Kenny K images available at the store! Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see the other fun projects made by the DT!  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes from the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week! :)

Marcy
