Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Water color Background!

Happy Tuesday All!  We have a new Loves Rubberstamps challenge this week and it's a super fun one....Create your own Pattern Paper or Technique Background!!!

Here's my card for some inspiration...

I enjoyed my chance to create another  fun water color background using my distress inks.  It's just so much fun to experiment with all of the pretty colors!  I kept my card very simple and decided to grab some gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to cluster in the center.  To further embellish, I added some sequins and some clear rhinestones. The sentiment was embossed in white against the background and I really love the way it pops!

Here is my supply list:
Seedless Preserves - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Shaded Lilac - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Spun Sugar - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Mono Multi-Liquid Glue - Tombow

Check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to get more details and to see the other DT projects!

I hope this gives you some inspiration to create some of your own backgrounds on your cards and projects.  Once you try it, you're going to want  to create a bunch more because they are just so much fun!

Have a wonderful week and thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Marcy

Happy Saturday Friends!  I have another birthday card to share for today's inspiration.

and here it is...

Wow, this month has been full of birthdays and I have even more to come before the month is over!  I am actually celebrating a good friend's birthday tonight so I wanted to make her a fun and festive card!  Since The Greeting Farm has so many adorable birthday images, I decided to get this cutie out!  This image is called Double Cupcake Anya and she's just too sweet with her two cupcakes!  I colored her up with my copics and then added some Wink of Stella as well as some glossy accents to parts of her outfit and cupcakes.  The fun papers I used are from my favorite Doodlebug Design and this collection is called "Fruitstand".  The bright colors and fun backgrounds are always perfect for a celebration! To finish off my card, I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some ribbon and sequins.  As you can tell, I just had to add a little bit of everything! :)

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Double Cupcake Anya - The Greeting Farm
Fruit Stand - Doodlebug Design
Black Tuxedo - Memento Ink

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Water color Tag with a Touch of Metal!

Happy Tuesday Friends!  We have a new Loves Rubberstamps Challenge starting today and this week's theme is "A Touch of Metal"!!!

Here's a tag I made for some inspiration...

I felt like water coloring this weekend so I decided to make a fun tag which I plan to give with a Thank You present.  It was the perfect opportunity to take out my Koi Water Color set and my paint brushes.  The flower images I used are from an MFT set called Contemporary Roses and these are so perfect for water coloring! I decided to emboss my image and sentiment which gave a resist effect and then added some color on top as well as some Wink of Stella for lots of sparkle.  To finish my tag, I added a handmade bow, some sequins and then of course my "touch of metal" which is the butterfly! :)

Here are the additional supplies used on my card:
Contemporary Roses - My Favorite Things
Peacock Feathers -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Wink of Stella
Koi Water Color Set

Thanks so much for stopping by and makes sure to stop over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog get the details for this challenge and to see what the rest of the DT gals made!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Loves Rubberstamps Saturday Inspiration: Fun Shaker card!

Hello! I have a fun and simple shaker card to share with you all today.

Here is my card...

Shaker cards are so much fun to fill with colorful sequins, glitter and lots of other crafty yumminess!   I just can't get enough of them these days!  I used some Pink Bazzill polka dot paper to frame my shaker window as well as the base of the card.  The background papers used on my card are from an adorable collection called Sweetheart by Doodlebug Design. And my sentiment  "Love You" was created using the My Favorite Things new DIE-NAMICS set called Love & Adore You Die Set.  I've used this DIE-NAMICS set on several of my cards these last few months so I know I've definitely gotten my money's worth!  It's just so easy to use and I love the look of a die cut sentiment.  To finish off my card, I found some Jute Rope to tie in a bow and some lovely Wild Orchid Crafts roses.

Here is the full supply list for my card:
Sweetheart - Doodlebug Design
Spun Sugar - Tim Holtz distress ink
Pink Polka Dot Paper - Bazzill

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge: Coloring with Distress Markers and Wink of Stella

Hi Everyone!  Can you believe we're already in the month of March?!!  This year is definitely moving so fast!  Well to start off the shamrock month, we have a fun challenge over at Loves Rubberstamps and it is the ever so popular "Anything Goes"!!!

Here is my card...

I had so much fun making my card using this sweet image called Yuki by Saturated Canary.  Instead of using my normal copics, I decided to use some Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color her up.  I used a technique shown by Kristina Werner where she used her Wink of Stella glitter pen instead of water to blend out the distress markers.  You can see her video here.   It took me a while to get the hang of it but once I did, it was pretty easy and I love the cool look and all the shimmer it left behind!!!  I also water colored my background using some of my Tim Holtz distress inks.  The sentiment Hello comes from a W9 stamp set and I embossed it with some black sparkling powder by Ranger.  I finished off my card using some yellow twine and a few sequins.

Here are the additional supplies used on my card:
Mustard Seed -Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Picked Raspberry - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Pumice Stone - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
