Pretty in Pink Mini Album Share

Happy Friday!  What a week!!! I'm looking forward to the weekend although it's going to be hard to find some time for crafting!  I feel like it's been a while since I posted but I wanted to share a mini album which I'm going to ship off this weekend.  This mini album will go to a cancer patient in a journaling class.  I joined this project from a forum on Life on the (Scrap) Beach.  I wanted to keep the album simple and non-complicated for the the person who receives it so that she can use it for class.  Usually I am heavy with embellishing my projects so this was a challenge for me! Lol  I started out using 6x6 medium weight chipboard and covered it with papers from the Glitz "Pretty in Pink" paper collection.  I bound everything using my Bind it All and tied some crinkled pink seam binding.  The charms hanging are a key locket and a crystal pink gem. For the front I used a combination of I am Roses and Wild Orchid Craft flowers sprayed with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold. The cute bird, birdcage and butterfly die cuts are MFT.  The pink and white flower trim are from Karla S001 Etsy store.  I used a Tim Holtz token which says "Journey" on it.  My pink daisy was actually ivory but I colored it up with Lindy Stamp Gang "Cotton Candy Pink" starburst stain.   On the other photo, you can see more pink trim from frog feathers, flowers from Prima and Wheat Leaves from Karla's store again.  Hope you all like it!  Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by! Marcy

  3. Hi Marcy, I love your album. It really turned out nice. I'm a little stuck on mine. There have been a combination of things that have come up. I'm late in getting mine done. I recently had bronchitis, sinus infection and 2 ear infections, and sadly to say the ears are acting up again. I also have my 2 grand daughters that have required my full attention. I am working on it every chance I get. I will post pictures as soon as I can. I also love the extra little gift you made for the host. That was kind of you. Thanks, Hugs Carmen

    1. Carmen, I hope you feel better soon! I'm sure it's hard to get anything done with being sick. I will look out for your pics of the album when you have a chance to complete it! Feel better! Hugs, Marcy
