Hello Friends and Happy Friday! This week's challenge is a fun one...Use a recycled item on your project! This can be anything from some packaging to fabric to something you might be using everyday at home. Be creative and just have fun with it! :)
Here is my card for some inspiration....
This card features the adorable Amelia from the "OA Valentine" set! I have been wanting to get this stamp set for some time but with my luck, it had been out of stock the few times I checked for it. When I did see it back in the store, I grabbed a set right away! I don't have a lot of the Oliver and Amelia sets but these sweet images are really growing on me and I can't wait to get more! This came just in time for Valentine's Day and I had so much fun making a V-Day card and coloring up this cute gal with my copic markers! I added some stickles in "Stardust" to her hearts and the star in her hair. My recycled bit is the cardboard you see layered in the middle. I actually dabbed on some red Tim Holtz distress paint in "Red Barn" to give it some more interest. I guess you could say that the red jute is also recycled as it came tied on to a gift I received in a recent RAK! :) Oh, and I wanted to mention that I love this new paper pad called "Sweetheart" by Doodlebug Designs. Love the bright pinks and kraft! Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other "Recycled" projects from the rest of the DT gals. Happy TGIF and thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Marcy
