Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" using Holiday Anya

Hello Bloggers and Happy Sunday!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!   This weekend we finally had a chance to stay local and it was nice to catch up on much needed house work.  My mountain of laundry is finally looking like a small hill! Lol It seems like I'm always doing endless laundry! I guess that's what comes with having a family of five and 3 growing boys! Aside from chores, we finally got our Christmas tree up! Yay!!! We still have another bin of ornaments and decorations to pull out but slowly and surely, our household is starting to look more festive! I absolutely love Christmas which is my favorite holiday of the year.  And I was excited to also have some time to work on my Christmas cards.  I wanted to share one of my cards as  my "Sensational Sunday Inspiration"!  Here it is...

This card uses The Greeting Farm-Holiday Anya.  You all know I love the Greeting Farm and I really love this image!  I have made a few variations of this card to give out to my friends at work. So I first stamped up pretty Anya with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I then colored her up with my copic markers.  On the white parts of her dress, I used my Zig 2 Way Glue to those sections and then I added Martha Stewart flocking powder in Swan.  It feels so soft like fur which is the effect I was trying for.  The Spellbinders which I layered behind her is an older die called 2011 Heirloom Ornament. I still love this die and couldn't resist using it for my holiday cards.  I added a bow to the top of the ornament to make it look like it was hanging.  The papers I used for the card are by October Afternoon called Holiday Style.  These are such pretty papers and I edged them all with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Frayed Burlap.  The green pom pom trim as well as the cream pearl trim layered on the bottom are from my stash.  The red poinsettia is from Petaloo.  I sprayed this flower up with my Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold to give it a pretty shimmer.  The bling is from Recollections and my sentiment is from a TRC Christmas stamp set which I've had for a while.

Please be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find supplies used on this card.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see what the rest of the design team made and to also have a chance to win some vouchers from the store (See details below) .

Hope I've inspired you with my card and thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great rest of the weekend!

  4. This is so pretty! I love your coloring and those flourishes are awesome! I hear you with laundry! It is one of my most despised chores - LOL! I don't mind sticking stuff in the washer and dryer...I HATE folding and putting them away. In fact no one here likes to do it so the clothes go from the dryer to a chair in the living room and then they sit there until I get sick of looking at them. Usually that is when the pile is taller than Mt. Everest and you can't find anything without them falling on the floor - LOL!

  5. She is darling! I love the papers, and that great green trim you added. The use of flock is a perfect touch. You are way ahead of me in the decorating. I have an empty tree standing in the corner of my living room. It is a reminder I need to get stuff done.
