Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge using KK Santa Cookies

Happy Tuesday Bloggers!  Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  I'm excited to share the Loves Rubberstamps challenge with you all.  This week the theme is Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! - Create a Winter Scene with a Snow feature... .

Our fantastic sponsor for the week is Kenny K.

Here is my card...

Let me tell you that this challenge was definitely a "Challenge" for me! LOL  I am not used to doing winter themed backgrounds so I definitely had to think outside of my comfort zone.  The image I selected to use is Kenny K's Christmas digi called "Santa Cookies".  To me, she seems more of an "indoor" type of girl! Lol But I really love this image and wanted to stay true to this week's theme so I really tried to incorporate a lot.  I first colored up this cute girl with my copic markers.  I then started the base of my card using some Teal Bazzil card stock and also some paper from Bo Bunny called Powder Mountain.  The background directly behind my image was originally some white card stock which I first embossed using a snowflake stamp I had in my stash.  I then used my Tattered Angels Glimmer mist in Sea Glass, Moonlight and Patina to spray over the paper.  I edged all of my papers using Tim Holtz distress ink in  Broken China.  I then added some Christmas trees in the background which I colored up the base with my copics and then used my Zig 2 Way glue to add some Martha Stewart flocking in Swan.  Finally, I wanted to add some yummy snowflakes!  I also glimmer misted these in the same colors as the background.  I used 3 different punches including 2  from EK Success and also a Martha Stewart punch.  I layered these on top of each other using Best Glue Ever.  This stuff is fantastic!!! The bling I added in the centers of the snowflakes as well as the smaller snowflake embellishments are from Recollections.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card as well as so much more.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other "Wintery" type projects the rest of the Design Team made .  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

I hope you all enjoyed my card for this challenge. Have a great rest of the week everyone and thanks so much for stopping by! :)
