Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge using SC Double Take

Merry Christmas Bloggers!  Hope everyone is enjoying the spirit of Christmas today with your loved ones!  My family loves Christmas so much and we have been enjoying all of the festivities and especially being with all of our close friends and extended family.  That makes this holiday so very special!

So today is also our favorite weekly challenge!!! The theme this week is New Year's Celebrations.  Yet another fun holiday to look forward to! :)

Our wonderful sponsor for the week is Saturated Canary!

Here is my card...

I had so much fun creating this card.  The beautiful image I used is a digi called Double Take by Saturated Canary.  I adore all of the SC stamps and images and can't wait to get more!  I colored up this gorgeous image using my copic markers. Behind her is a small white french doily which I edged with some Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar.  The papers I used in the background is a Teresa Collins collection called "Sweet Afternoon".  There are some beautiful Shabby Chic papers in this collection and I chose the pink and white papers.  I felt like layering and distressing for this card so I whipped out my Tim Holtz distressing tool and also tore some of the papers so other papers could peek out from behind.  I had a lot of fun with this technique.  I also felt like Flowers and Bling!!!  So I added a bunch of beautiful flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and pink rhinestone bling from Recollections.   I glued most of the flowers down using Best Glue Ever.   I really love the way this card came out!  The sentiment is my own which I just printed out from my home computer and then punched it out using an old Stamp it Up scallop oval punch.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card. Laura has a ton of new Saturated Canary stamps and they are all so gorgeous!  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other Celebration projects the rest of the Design Team made .  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

I hope you all enjoyed my card for this challenge. Have a very very Merry Christmas!!! Thanks for stopping by!
