Is everyone having a good week? I had a nice long weekend because I took off Friday from work to enjoy a Junior Lifeguard competition which my sons were in. It was such a beautiful and fun day and both Ryan and Noah did awesome! There's also a lot of festivities going on this weekend. I found myself straying away from my house cleaning which really should have been priority for this long weekend! LOL Anyways, I did have a chance to work on some projects for this week including this one for the LR Blog Hop!
Here is my card...
Yes, another image from my favorite stamp company, The Greeting Farm. This one is called "Birthday Anya II" and she was just added to the store recently so I thought it was perfect timing in creating a Birthday card for a friend. Plus this image is another favorite of mine. I mean she's a TGF image first of all and who doesn't love cupcakes??!!! :) After stamping this cutie up with my Memento ink in Black Tuxedo, I colored her up with my Copic Sketch markers. I paper pieced her dress with some design papers called "Sweet Afternoon" by Teresa Collins. I edged all of my papers in Pumice Stone. Now the fun part was the cupcake. After coloring my cupcake, I left the frosting blank and added some glue and then my dazzling diamonds over that to give it some shimmer. Not sure if you can tell in the picture but it looks so sparkly up close! I then wanted to add some sprinkles to the cupcake so I added some mini pink pearls from Recollections. Doesn't that cupcake look so yummy?!!! I laid cute Anya on some layered Spellbinders called Lacey Circles Large. I then added some roses and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which I sprayed up with my Tattered Angels "Iridescent Gold" to give it some pretty sparkle. The "Enjoy" sentiment is also from The Greeting Farm and part of a set called "Delicate Words" Die set.
I'm actually entering this card in all of The Greeting Farm challenges going on this week! What can i say, it actually fits all so wish me luck! :)
The Greeting Farm FFF Challenge-Punches and/or Dies
The Greeting Farm July Retro Fresh Challenge-Cupcakes and Sprinkles
The Greeting Farm Garden Variety Tuesday Color Challenge-Kraft, Pink, Blue
