Card featuring "Beanie Ian" from The Greeting Farm

Hello Friends!

I wanted to quickly share a card I had in the making for the FFF Challenge on The Greeting Farm Blog.

Here is my card...

The theme is "Snow" and I know that snowflakes qualify for that so I broke out with my MFT Die-Namics Let it Snowflake die for my "Snow" theme.  I also have some "snowy" papers which I found in my stash. These are some older Christmas papers by Cosmo Cricket called "Be Jolly". The adorable little guy on my card is "Beanie Ian".  He's an exclusive stamp at TGF right now and when I saw him, I just knew I had to get him! I thought he would be perfect for my card as this is going to my son, Ethan's godmother for Christmas.  Love the cute little hot cocoa mug with marshmallows he is holding!  Oh, I do love hot cocoa and would love some right now! :)  I colored Ian up with my copic markers and then laid him top of a Spellbinder called "Star Circles".  I also added some Kaisercraft rhinestones in the middles of the snowflakes as well as to the corners of my card.  I had the green ribbon in my stash and I had fun using my "Bow Easy" to make a double looped bow. I'm so glad I was able to get another Christmas card done.  The holidays are just coming so fast!  And speaking of holidays, hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with their families!  Be back on the weekend to share my inspiration for the Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday" blog hop! Until then, enjoy the holiday!

Hugs,
Marcy

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring "Grow" by Saturated Canary

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!!

Is everyone ready for the coming Thanksgiving Holiday?!!! I know I'm not and still have so much to do in the next few days!  It seems like the holidays are always stressful when preparing but once you are enjoying the festivities with the family, it's a wonderful feeling!  I hope all of you have a wonderful and special Thanksgiving holiday with your families!  So in preparing for Thanksgiving, it seems so fitting to have the challenge this week as "Give Thanks"!

Our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge is Saturated Canary!!!

Here is my card...

This card features a really pretty digi called "Grow" by Saturated Canary.  I colored up this sweet image with my copic markers.  The pretty paper collection is one of my favorites by Echo Park called Here and Now.  I handmade a banner at the bottom and tied some pretty pink twine with a button. I also used the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die to layer for some fun elements on my card.  This digi actually came with the sentiment "Thank you for helping me Grow" which I thought would be fun to also use. I used some punches to add my sentiment on and after I colored it with my copics, I also colored over that with my Atyouspica Glitter pen in "Blossom" to give it some shimmer.  I also added the glitter pen to her barrettes and to the flowers in the flower pot she is holding.

Here are some additional supplies I used on my card:
Victorian Velvet-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!

Happy Sunday all!  Hope you're having a nice and relaxing weekend! Today, we are celebrating my son, Noah's 10th  birthday!!!  We have a small party with his closest buds and he's so excited to finally turn double digits! :)  Here's a pic of my wonderful Noah...

Here is my card for your Sunday inspiration...

So this birthday card I made for my son, Noah, is using the little angel boy in the stamp set "Sweet 'N Toxic" by The Greeting Farm.  Definitely, my Noah is the "angel boy" of my 3 sons.  He does have his mischievous moments, don't get me wrong...but he definitely is very patient and caring, especially with his little brother who loves him to pieces! :)  The fun paper collection is called "Oliver" by My Mind's Eye.  I'm running so low on these papers and will need to replenish because I love this collection.  I found some Jolee dimensional star stickers which I added to the corners and also a metal embellishment with an "N" from my stash to personalize it more.

Here's a close-up look.  I added some Ranger stickles in "Stardust" to his wings to give them some shimmer...

Here's the inside.  I used some fun scallop borders from the MFT Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics.

Here are the additional supplies I used on my project:
Faded Jeans-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Sentiment "Hey Dude"-My Guy Ian (The Greeting Farm)
Blue Rhinestones-Kaisercraft

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring "In the 20's" by The Paper Shelter

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and is off to a great week! I've been trying to get my house in order for my son, Noah's birthday as well as Thanksgiving which we are hosting this year!  I did have some crafting time and was able to get a card done for this week's challenge which is Shabby Chic/Vintage!

Our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge is The Paper Shelter!!

Here is my card...

So I usually would have gone with "Vintage" just because I just have done a few more vintage projects than "Shabby Chic".  However, I do admire Shabby Chic projects and thought this would be a great opportunity for practice!  So the charming little girl is a digi by The Paper Shelter called "In the 20's".  I thought she was so adorable and perfect for this project.   I colored her up with my copics and her dress is colored using  the Copic Marker Color Fusion Trio 2.  I just really tried to stay light with the colors. I even used my colorless blender (0) to take off some of the colors to make them even more muted for a "Shabby Chic" look! I also kept the papers pretty light and used a really pretty collection by Teresa Collins called "Sweet Afternoon".   The paper bow is one of my favorite new embellishments and was cut out using a small bow die from Lil' Inkers.   I also added some layered Spellbinders in "Labels Twenty" as well as a pretty butterfly using La La Land Craft's Butterflies Die SetThe flowers are a combo of Kaisercraft, I am Roses and the porcelain flowers are from my stash. So for not being a Shabby Chic expert, I was pretty happy with the way it came out! :)  Hope you all like it too and give it a try as well!

Here are some additional supplies I used on my card:
White Polka Dot cardstock-Bazzill
Spun Sugar-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Pink Rhinestones-Kaisercraft

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!

Hope you all like my  Shabby Chic card! Have a wonderful week and thanks so much for stopping by to visit! :)

So hope everyone is having a great weekend! It's definitely cooled off finally and feeling chilly here in Southern California!  Although I do love the weather, I wish I could experience the true 4 seasons of the year, especially Fall and Christmas.  One of these days, I'd love to travel to the East Coast or somewhere with snow during this time!  Speaking of the holidays,  let me move on to sharing my card for your Sunday inspiration...

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already around the corner!  I was feeling in the "holiday" mood and wanted to create a card using this cute PI Girl from MFT called "Indian Girl".  Isn't she so adorable?!!  The papers I used are called "Nan's Favourites" by Kaisercraft.  This is such a fun collection and I thought the reds and browns went well with my little indian gal! After coloring her up with my Copic sketch markers, I cut her out with my Spellbinders Large Ovals Standard and then layered that  on another Spellbinders Lacey Ovals.  I added some Ranger stickles in "Star Dust" to the top of her moccasins. The pretty flowers are from I am Roses. I sprayed them up with my Tattered Angels "Diamond" to give them some nice shimmer.  The sentiment "Thankful for You" is also from the same PI stamp set.

Here are the additional supplies I used on my project:
Brushed Corduroy-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Red Polka Dot cardstock-Bazzill

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)
