Hello Friends and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!!
We have a fun challenge for you today which is to CASE yourself or someone else! When you CASE a card or project, it just means you use it for inspiration on your project. This could be a technique, a style or just a project you really admire!:)
Here is my card...
Annie is very unique with her coloring in that she uses distress inks and water to watercolor many of her images. I have been watching her creations on You Tube as well as on her blog and have wanted to try this technique for some time now. The sweet image I used for my card is from the "Royal Cutie Pies" set by The Greeting Farm. I have to admit that water coloring this gal was not as easy as I expected it to be and kudos to Annie and others out there who use this technique! I think this was the 4th "Royal Cutie Pie" I colored up before I felt she was decent enough to share with you all! LOL The Tim Holtz distress inks I used with water to color her up were Tea Dye, Victorian Velvet, Mustard Seed, Broken China and Spun Sugar. I added some stickles in "Stardust" to the heart on her ribbon and to her shoes. I also used some Spun Sugar distress ink around the edges of my papers. The pretty papers I used are from the Cashmere Dame collection by Glitz Design. I just love these bright and cheery papers! I also added some layered spellbinders behind this cutie, some small flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a teal ribbon I made on the side. The sentiment "Hello Sweetie"comes with the same fun stamp set.
Here are the additonal supplies I used on my card:
Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card. Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other projects the rest of the Design Team made. If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!
Hope you all like my card! I had so much fun trying out this technique and definitely plan to practice practice practice to use water coloring with distress inks on some future projects! Thanks so much Annie Rose for letting me CASE your beautiful work and thanks to everyone for stopping by! Have a wonderful rest of your week! :)
Hugs,
Marcy
