TGF Farm Fresh Friday Challenge: Flirty Anya in Chalk!

Hello Friends and hope you're all having a great Friday! I'm so looking forward to the weekend! And to start it off, we have a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge for you all.  This week's challenge theme is "Stitches".  These can be real or faux!

Here is my card for some inspiration...

So last weekend, I spent what seemed like hours browsing through You Tube videos which is something I love to do!  I have always admired the "Chalk" projects and love the look of them.  I was definitely inspired by what I was seeing and thought I would be brave to try out this technique!  So with this card I used the cute "Flirty Anya"! I just thought with her polka dot dress and chunky hair, she was perfect for my card.  I stamped her in some white ink and then I took a baby wipe and smudged some white ink around the black card stock to give it that chalkboard look. I don't think it shows too well in my photo but it's a pretty cool effect!  I added some stamped flowers I also chalked up in some pink chalk ink and then added some pretty pink ribbon I had in my stash.  For the challenge theme, I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen around the tag Anya is stamped on as well as the layered black card stock.  I even have a stitched rectangle die I used on some of the papers.  The pretty pink polka dot paper is from a collection called "Chalk Studio" by My Mind's Eye which is also carried at the TGF store

Please check out The Greeting Farm blog to get the details on this challenge and to see the other "stitched" themed projects from the rest of the DT Farmers!  I'm really happy with the way my card came out and can't wait to make more of these "chalk" projects.  I hope I've given you some inspiration and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Hugs,
Marcy
