Loves Rubbertamps "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" using Cheeky Chat

Hello  Blogger Friends! Hope everyone has been having a great weekend! This is my birthday weekend and I've been having a lot of fun celebrating as well as just enjoying time with the family.  I also was able to see a few movies which I hardly have a chance to do these days so I was really excited about that.  I saw "Monsters, Inc." in 3D with the kids which was adorable and then also had a chance to go on a date night with my hubby to watch "Les Miserable". Wow, this movie was not what I expected! I have actually seen the musical 3 times but seeing it on the big screen was a totally different experience.  There was so much emotion in it and I thought the actors did a great job portraying these characters! The movie stayed pretty true to the original and I loved it! I would totally recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a problem with musicals since they pretty much sing everything! LOL  Also, for those who don't mind sitting for quite a while as it is a pretty lengthy movie.

Anyway, let me move on to sharing my Loves Rubberstamps project for "Sensational Sunday Inspirations" day with you all!

Here it is...

Inside

So this is actually one of the new wooden Balsa boxes which I picked up at Michaels recently. This was a plain wooden box which I altered and turned into a Valentine's Day favor!  I took apart some pieces of the box so that I could paint the sides and the inside of the box in some Ivory acrylic paint by Americana.  The first photo is actually the back of my box but I wanted to share this one first to show you my cute Cheeky Chat from The Greeting Farm.  I stamped her image using my memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I then colored her up with my copic markers and added some Ice Stickles in clear Rock Candy to the bow on her top, her barrettes and the heart on her phone.  The paper collection I used for the background is from K & Company called Valentine Sweetheart.  I edged all papers with my Tim Holtz distress ink in Frayed Burlap.  The "XOXO" is from a matching tag die cut set also from K & Company.  The pretty pink resin flower is from Recollections.  On the front of the altered box,  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which I sprayed up with Iridescent Gold by Tattered Angels.  These flowers were glued down using Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.   I also added some Valentine die cuts to the front as well.  For the closure, I painted the knob in the same white paint I used for the box and then punched out a heart with my circle punch from one of the papers in the collection I used.  I added some glossy accents on top of it to give it an epoxy look. To close it up, I added some stretchy white lace from my stash to replace a plain brown rubber band which was previously on the box.  The pretty light teal green trim wrapping around the favor is from Scrapbooking with Me on Zibbet and the pearl trim layered on top of that is from KarlaS001 on Etsy.  The last photo just shows what I'm adding to the inside of this V-Day favor which is a box of Candy Hearts for this one. This was so much fun to make and I definitely plan to make more of these fun favor gifts to give out!
