Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday challenge featuring Mr. Monkey and Mrs. Monkey

Hello and  Happy Tuesday to you all!!!  Hope Everyone is having a great week.  I know I mentioned last week that I was on vacation and had planned to do some "Spring Cleaning" and "Spring Organizing".  Sad to say that I really only completed 3 of the many tasks I had planned during this week!  However, we were able to get away for the last part of Spring Break to take a few days mini vacation over at San Diego.  The kids were thrilled to revisit Legoland and I was happy to just get away even for a bit!  So guess it's back to work and the every day craziness  of events and getting that cleaning and organizing in somehow! LOL

Well enough of stressful thoughts and more of fun stuff like the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge! Yay!!! This week's challenge t is to create a project using a 3D Dimensional image.  This is where you pop up some part/or parts of your main image.

Our wonderful sponsors for the week are Eureka and All That Scraps!

Here is my card...

Now, I'm not sure if you can really tell on mine. I've never done a 3D project before so I made this easy on myself by just popping up what caught my eye on these cute darling monkeys.  And by the way, I'd like to introduce these 2 monkeys first...they are Mr. Monkey and Mrs. Monkey! :)  They came as separate images but I decided to pull them together and intertwine their tails together. I am thinking to give this as an anniversary card to a special couple!  So back to the 3D, if you can't tell, I popped up the moustache on Mr. Monkey and the bow and dress on Mrs. Monkey.  Pretty simple, huh?  I'm thinking now, there are so many other possibilities which I didn't think of before.  Oh well. I'm taking the easy route for this one! LOL  I colored my 2 sweet monkeys with my copic markers and added some clear Ice Stickles to their 3D parts. I laid them on my Spellbinders Heart Circles. The design paper I used is called Bo Bunny Love Letters.  This pad is so perfect for a Love/Romantic theme and I've used it so many times.  I made a handmade banner  with the DP, which  I stamped my sentiment on with  Memento ink in Black Tuxedo.  I  edged my papers using my Tim Holtz distress ink in Brushed Corduroy.  The flowers are from Prima and I Am Roses. I sprayed these all up using my Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold to give it some shimmer. I also added some bling from Recollections.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.  So try out this 3D effect! It's lots of fun! :)

Hope you all like my card for the week!  Have a fantastic rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by!

  11. I think you did awesome for your first 3D work :) This is totally sweet and I love the intertwined tails! Genius idea :) Your colors are so pretty too! Awesome job! And in my experience...I always get more stuff done when I don't plan a cleaning day and just get in that "cleaning" mode (which doesn't happen very often unfortuantely) or in the 10 minutes before company comes over - LOL! Glad you got to have some downtime and a little getaway!
