Hope everyone is having a great weekend and that some of you may be able to enjoy a longer one due to the holiday on Monday. It's a holiday for my work so I'm so excited to have an extra day off! Boy do I need it too! The kids and hubby are off to a regular school/work day so that means I have at least a whole half a day to myself! :) And instead of trying to get organized and get extra chores done like I know I should, I plan to at least spend the morning doing something fun for myself. Maybe a manicure, massage or even some peaceful crafting time?!!! LOL We'll see...
So on to my Sunday inspiration card for all of you...
I couldn't wait to try Indah's tutorial for the Triple Easel Card. You can check it out here! I decided to make the base of my card using my Spellbinders Scallop Circles. Let me tell you that I had so much fun making this card and I'm definitely making more of them!
So this week, I wanted to again make something for Breast Cancer Awareness month. You might have remembered a few weeks ago when I shared a Prima Doll tag I was going to give to my Aunt who is a survivor of breast cancer. I also wanted to make her a card to give to her along with her tag. For this theme, I could not wait to use "Awareness Anya" from The Greeting Farm. I've had her for some time and I just think she is so adorable! I stamped up pretty Anya in Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored her skin and hair with my copic sketch markers. I decided to paper piece all of her clothing including her cute dress, the ribbon and even her little boots. The paper collection I used is called "Blush" which is part of the Lost and Found 3 Collection by My Mind's Eye. These papers are so beautiful and perfect for all of your "pretty in pink" projects! I edged all of my papers using Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet. The beautiful butterflies I have on the front and back frames are by La La land Crafts called Butterfly Die Set 1. I just love these butterflies and I curled the wings up a little to make them more dimensional. I love how they turned out! I also added some flowers from Recollections and Wild Orchid Crafts.
