Hello and Happy Saturday! I have a fun chalkboard card to share with you all today!
So last month, I tried the chalk technique for the first time. I have always admired the "Chalk" projects and love the look of them. I was definitely inspired by what I was seeing on you tube videos and out there in Blog Land and thought I would be brave to try out this technique! Well after my first chalkboard creation, I just had to make another one. This time I used the adorable "Boho Anya"! I stamped her in some white ink and then I took a baby wipe and smudged some white ink around the black card stock to give it that chalkboard look. I don't think it shows too well in my photo but it's a pretty cool effect! I masked my image and then I added some stamped flowers around her in some pink chalk ink. The pretty papers which came out of my hoard vault for this card are from a collection called "The Optimist" by Prima. These papers are so gorgeous and I thought they added some pretty color to the black and white. To finish it off, I added a pink ribbon from my stash and some random Recollection pearls.
Here is a close up...
Victorian Velvet - Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Moonlight White - Brilliance
Be sure to stop by the Loves Rubberstamps store to see the items used on my card. I hope you enjoyed my chalkboard card. I had so much fun making it and I hope you'll give it a try too! Enjoy your Saturday and see you back for the "Sensational Sunday" Blog Hop tomorrow! :)
Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Marcy
