Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring "Adorable Cowgirl"

Hello and welcome to Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!  Our weekend, especially Saturday was very busy but also fun and exciting.  We enjoyed a small Spring concert watching my son, Ryan play with his school band.  He just started the clarinet this year and we could really tell a great improvement from when he started at the beginning of the school year.  I'm so proud of him!  Right after that, his team played the most exciting baseball game of the season defeating the best team in the league who was undefeated until then!  The game was a "nail-biter" til the end but it made it even more sweet to have the victory.  Go Texas Rangers!!!  Sunday was a catch up day as usual but flew by none the less.  Now my work week is also turning out pretty busy.  I feel like I say the word "busy" way too much these days! LOL Anyway, let's move on to the challenge...

This week's challenge is to create an outdoor scene.

Our wonderful sponsor is The Paper Shelter!

Here is my card...

So every time we have a challenge from The Paper Shelter, we are fortunate to get some digis to play with.  The real challenge for me is usually having to pick one of the digis to work with because they are always so super adorable!!!  I decided to go with this cute image called "Adorable Cowgirl".   I had a blast coloring her up with my copic sketch markers.   These images sometimes take me some time to color but I love how detailed they are and I really feel they help me build on my coloring skills because of this.  I edged all the papers with my distress ink in Brushed Corduroy.   The paper collection I used is called Nan's Favourite Collection by Kaisercraft.  This paper collection has a fun, vintage country kind of feel to it so I thought it would go perfect with my cowgirl! For my outdoor scene, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use a new die set called Cloud, Sun, Island by La La Land Crafts.  I am really loving this set.  The dies are just so much fun and really unique.  This is definitely one of my favorites sets and I know I'll be using these often.   The sentiment "Howdy, Friend" is from an MFT Pure Innocence set called Cowgirl. I stamped this sentiment using my memento ink in Black Tuxedo. The yellow cherry blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I glued them down using Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store.

Hope you all like my card for the week!  Have a fantastic rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your kind comments!

  2. Drool! Love this! Reminds me of my friend from TX! So cute, and sweet and a bit flirty. Great papers, and the coloring is awesome, the hat looks touchable. Glad to hear about your son's concert. I have a nephew playing clairinet too. The other is a drummer, and one niece plays the cello. I have 10 of them, so eventually we will have a band at this rate!
