Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring Saturated Canary's "Elphie"

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!  It's almost Halloween and it seems fitting to have today's challenge to be a "Halloween" theme!  I'm so excited as Halloween is such a big event in my household.  We plan to help my brother in law with his yearly haunted house and the kids are so excited to be part of this!

Our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge is QKR Stampede!!

Here is my card...

This adorable sweet little witch is Elphie by Saturated Canary.  Originally, I did not think of using her as a witch but the more I looked at this image with the broom, I thought she was perfect for Halloween.  Doesn't she make an adorable witch?  I colored her up with my Copic Sketch markers and I thought she looked so cute with the purple hair!  I had so much fun making this last Halloween card and adding all my flowers and embellies.  Finally, I decided to add a witch's hat to her and I took this and the sentiment both from the PI Little Witch stamp set by MFT

Here are the additional supplies I used on my card:
Tim Coffey Fall and Halloween-K & Company
Pumice Stone-Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Leaf Punch-Martha Stewart
Black Tuxedo-Memento Ink
Flowers-Wild Orchid Crafts
Rhinestones and black doily are from my home stash

Please check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to see supplies used on my card.  Also, check out the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge blog to see what other  projects the rest of the Design Team made.  If you want to join this fun challenge, I'll post the details below and you could have a chance to win some great prizes form the store!

Happy Sunday Blogger friends!  Gosh, only few more days until Halloween, can you believe it?!!! We had some more fun family Halloween events including our church's annual Trunk or Treat and also some downtown trick or treating.  Of course I had to pick in the kids' treat bags after to get my favorite candies which are peanut M&Ms and Almond Joy! :)  My youngest son, Ethan, is so excited to be his favorite character these days...Mike Wazowski from Monsters University!  Here's a pic of my cutie! :)

So this week, I'm actually sharing a "non-Halloween" project and it feels like it's been a while since I've  been in such a "Halloween" mood lately! :)
So here is my inspiration for today's Sunday's blog....

This is a birthday card I made for one of my besties!  I used the Felicity and Blair Living Life from the Uptown Girl Collection by Stamping Bella.  I had so much fun with this fantastic friendship image and I'm really loving this collection!  I colored these gals up with my Copic Sketch markers and then added the dot technique to the background. I really like the black and red combo. The pretty papers I used are called Lovely by Authentique.

Here are some additional pics....

Card featuring The Greeting Farm's "Hallo Witch"

Hello Friends!  I wanted to quickly post a card I am entering in for The Greeting Farm's Garden Variety Tuesday Halloween Challenge.  This is using the cute "Hallo Witch" digi from TGF.  Isn't she the cutest?  I actually won this digi from another TGF challenge and definitely wanted to use it for this Halloween!  I'm so glad there was a challenge I could enter her in!  The papers I used are "Wicked" by My Mind's Eye.  I've been using that for quite a bit of my Halloween projects the last few months.  Very cool papers and even cut outs like "The Witch's Ride" card peaking out behind my little witch.  Also there was a music paper background on one of the designs and I thought the title of this one, "Witch's Dance" was perfect!  Hope you all like my card!  Happy Halloween all! :)

Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge featuring The Greeting Farm "Sweet n Toxic"

Hello and welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps Tuesday Challenge!  Our challenge this week is TRICK OR TREAT.  You can create a "TRICK" = Create a Moving Card or some element of your card that is moveable OR a "TREAT" = Make a Halloween Treat Holder.

Our wonderful sponsor for this week's challenge is Eureka Stamps!!

So since I love sweets, I went with the "Treat" and here is my project...

This is a treat bag I made using some envelopes from Recollections.  I often use their corrugated cards as a base.  However, since my embellies are so dimensional, I can't fit them into the envelopes they come with.   So I found this brilliant idea on You tube.  This idea was created by Yolanda who is SoCrafty100 on You Tube.  You can find her tutorial here.  She has beautiful creations using these envelopes and so does Bona who is LiveLoveScrap on YT.  You can check out her channel to see the creations she has made.  I was so thrilled to find this clever idea and have since been seeing a bunch of gorgeous projects out there.  I just had to join in on the fun!  Thank you so much Yolanda and Bona for for your shares!!! :)  Now my treat bag has many details but the star of this project is the cute gal from The Greeting Farm's "Sweet n Toxic"set.   I just think she is the cutest thing and I love those skulls in her hair!  She is so perfect for Halloween! I colored her up with my copics and cut her out. The paper collection I used is called "Wicked" by My Mind's Eye and I used many of the fun cutouts in this collection.  I have some fun creepy hands on the side, some little spiders and of course I had to throw in some cobwebs!  On the top, I added a Halloween fence which I made using a Martha Stewart punch I have. I glossy accented it which looks pretty cool.  I added some black trims I had in my stash also and then filled it with some candies. Don't you love the RIP lollipop?!  I also covered a Hershey's chocolate bar with the design paper too.

So I have more pics to show you and I apologize that I have so many on this post.  However,  there are a lot of details on this project and I really wanted to share it with you all!  So here we go....

Loves Rubberstamps "Sensational Sunday" Blog Hop featuring Kenny K's "Trixxie Treat"

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. Hope everyone's having a great weekend!  Our weekend has been pretty packed.  My son, Noah, had his 1st playoff game and the "White Ninjas" did awesome!!!  He's really excited that today we are going to watch our professional LA soccer team, The Galaxy,  which is a fundraiser for our AYSO organization, and which Noah has been playing in for the last 4 years. Even more fun is that he was selected to participate in the "High Five" line up before the game where he gets to "High Five" all of the players.  It's going to be a hectic day rushing from a baseball game to the afternoon soccer game but I'm sure it will be lots of fun! :)  We did have a chance to also have some Halloween fun this weekend.  We went to a great Halloween store and the kids were able to get some costumes.  My older boys had to of course get scary costumes but my youngest, Ethan is going to be "Mike Wazoski" from his favorite Monsters University.  We also went to the Pumpkin Patch which is always a fun event for the family.

So with that being said, I have definitely been in a "Halloween" mood  this week and I wanted to share some "Halloween" inspiration for today's Sunday blog!

Here is my Halloween project...

So this is an altered wooden treat box holder which I picked up at Michael's for $1! I had so much fun altering this for Halloween and making it a fun treat holder.  The first thing I did was paint it with some black acrylic paint.  I really love the Martha Stewart paints which have such great pigment. I used "Black Beetle" to color both the inside and outside of the box.  I then sprayed it up with my LSG Starburst spray in "Screamin Banshee Black"  This color has a purple hue which is so perfect for Halloween projects!   For the star of my project, I couldn't resist taking out one of my favorite Halloween images called "Trixxie Treat" by Kenny K.  Isn't she a cutie?!!!  She's so perfect for my project theme as well! :)

Here are some additional pics....

Bling and spider with rhinestone-Recollections
Black Trim  and ribbon from my stash

I really had so much with this creation and I'm really excited for Halloween coming up!
Hope you all like my "Trixxie Treat" holder and thanks so much for stopping by! :)
