Loves Rubberstamps Sunday Blog Hop featuring Cheeky Geeky

Welcome to the Loves Rubberstamps weekly Sensational Sunday Blog Hop! The Design Team has created some gorgeous projects for your Inspiration. Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, each stop will have a full list of links. One of the Design Team posts is the hop's Sensational Sunday Sweet Spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $10 Loves Rubberstamps store gift certificate. So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love for the Designers! You have until Saturday, May 3, at 8pm CST. Have fun and we hope that you enjoy the hop!
If you've arrived here from Lydia's blog you are right on track! If not, I have posted the whole blog hop list below just in case you get lost along the way!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  This weekend has been so busy with so many events my head is still spinning! LOL  My son, Ryan had his last  baseball game for playoffs. We were sad to lose our final game and end the season but it was so exciting to watch, especially since the kids have really worked hard and come a long way. We also had some 1st Communion events and a great Spring Concert for Ryan's school band which was such a joy to watch for our family.  With all the busy weekends this last month, I'm hoping to get some cleaning done today which is badly needed.  I feel so behind but I'm determined to get some things accomplished!

Anyways, I'm excited to share my blog hop project for the week and here it is....

This started out as an old Christmas gift card tin that's been laying around forever.  I had been wanting to alter it for quite some time. With Teacher's Appreciation week coming up next week,  I planned on getting my son, Noah's teacher a gift card to the Lake Shore Learning Store.  She is one of Noah's (and my) favorite teachers!  She's super sweet and also a cute and bubbly young blond so I thought Cheeky Geeky from The Greeting Farm would be perfect for her!

Here are some other pictures...

The gorgeous papers I used are Graphic 45's ABC Primer.  I love all the G45 papers and this is one of my favorite.  I edged all the papers using one of my favorite Tim Holtz distress inks in Pumice Stone before laying them down.  I used Memento Ink in Black Tuxedo to stamp my cheeky gal image and sentiment "Teacher".  I colored her up using my copic sketch markers and also used my giltter atyouspica pens to add some sparkle to her eyeglasses and her tie.  I paper pieced her outfit and laid her on top of  an MFT die-namics called Notebook Edge.  This die is perfect for school related projects and super fun to use! I cut out some additional images from the papers and added it behind my image.  I also added a few Cherry Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.  On the sides of the tin, I used some red gingham trim which I picked up at Michaels and also some Maya Arts pleated red trim.  I added some black pearl trim layered on top of that.  For the inside and bottom of my tin, I  kept it simple with just the papers.  These papers are so pretty in itself  you really don't have to do much which is what I love about all the G45 papers.  I'm really happy with the way it came out and I hope Noah's teacher will like it too!

Please be sure to check out the Loves Rubberstamps store to find crafting supplies used on this project.  Also check out the Loves Rubberstamps blog to see design team projects as well as information on prizes and winnings!

Hope you all like my project and thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!:)
