The Greeting Farm May Guest Design Card featuring "Anya Garden" and Mixed Media tag featuring "WS Audrey"

Hello! I wanted to share my last post as a Guest Designer for May!  Wow, time flew and although I'm sad to leave the farm, I had such a great time sharing my TGF projects with all of you!   So I have a few to share with you today.  My first one is using "Garden Anya" and here she is...

I wanted to make another card with this adorable image as she is my favorite image from the May release.  I also couldn't wait to pair her up using the cute Tulip border die! I did a whole lot of paper piecing with this one and I had so much fun!  The fun paper collection I used is called "Hopscotch" by Fancy Pants.  I love this paper collection.  The papers are just so pretty and cheerful! I edged all of my papers with both Tim Holtz Broken China and Pumice Stone.  Behind cute Anya are some layered Spellbinders using Lacey Circles.  I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in the corner as well as some pearl bling from Recollections.  The sentiment is from another TGF set called "Anya Blooms".  I'm definitely going to be using "Anya Garden" for many more projects to come!  And the new border dies are definitely the perfect embellishments to add to these images! I think this tulip border die is my favorite so far!

And  I have one more project to share for my last post. This is a mixed media tag featuring "WS Audrey"and here it is.....

So when Jessica, the TGF coordinator introduced me on the TGF blog for the first time, she mentioned that my profile picture reminded her of  "Audrey"!  Now this was very flattering to me because I don't think I'm nearly at all as cute as Audrey!!! :)  But I definitely knew I wanted to work with this cute image when I saw her and I also wanted to dedicate this to Jessica as a thank you for being an awesome coordinator and for being so helpful and kind both times I have guest designed for TGF!  So this mixed media tag was inspired by my friend, Arlene, who designed a mixed media tag for Lindy Stamp Gang last month.  You can check out her project on her blog here.   I have been wanting to make one of these mixed media tags for some time and thought this was the perfect time to do so.  I cut out my tag using some medium weight chipboard and added gesso to prime it. I used some light modeling paste and applied it to a brick stencil for the background.  I then added all my embellishments  which were a combination of flowers, wood pieces, lace and metal embellishments.  After gluing all my pieces down, I added a nice layer of gesso to these and then sprayed them up with my Lindy Stamp Gang sprays.  The Starburst sprays I used were "Forget me not", "Golden Sleigh Bells" and "Cotton Candy Pink".  I then added sweet Audrey as the center piece. I'm so excited to make my first mixed media tag and so happy with the way it came out!  Hope you like this tag as well as my Anya card!

Please check out The Greeting Farm Store for a ton of cute stamps as well as  The Greeting Farm blog to see Design Team projects and the latest TGF challenges!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!
