Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I have caught some colds from my youngest son, Ethan so trying to get some rest in and get ready for the coming week! I have tons to do but just trying to pace myself.  I did take some time out to craft a little and wanted to share a card with you all.

Here is my inspiration for this Sunday...

I decided to make a simple but fun birthday card for my cousin.  I'm not great with masculine cards so having these Ian images always make these "boy" cards a little easier! :) This card features "My Guy Ian" which is a really fun collection! I stamped Ian with my favorite Memento ink in Black Tuxedo and then colored up this cute guy with my copic sketch markers. The paper collection I used is called "Oliver" which is part of the Lost and Found 3 collection by My Mind's Eye.  I have only a few pieces of papers left for this collection since I have used it so much on previous projects. Love these papers and need to get more!  I created a border on the bottom for Ian to stand on using MFT's Die-namics Notched Border Die and edged all of my papers in my Tim Holtz distress ink in Faded Jeans. Finally I added some Jean metal buttons from some Prima trinkets I recently bought.  I thought this was a perfect embellishment since my cousin is getting some designer jeans as his birthday gift! :) The sentiment "A Special Guy" also comes from this stamp set.  Speaking of jeans, check out our Loves Rubberstamps video designer, Indah's tutorial on creating texture on jeans.  I had already colored up my Ian image previously but definitely can't wait to try that technique out soon!

I'm entering this card in The Greeting Farm Retro Fresh Challenge-Autumn Colors
and The Greeting Farm-Tuesday Variety Challenge-Texture

Hope you all like my card and thanks so much for stopping by! :)

  10. Love the card. Masculine cards just scare me. I'm ok with "boy" cards, but "man" cards are as foreign to me as being an astronaut....lol Love your image and your layout. tfs Love Ya' Patricia
